What do you think it means?

Dude: The swine are those who detest the things of God. We should not place what is precious in their care since they will despice it and even try to hurt us in the process like "cancer" here.
That is the long and short of it.
Mr. M on "swine."

Actually the "swine" Jesus was speaking about in that story were Gentiles (non-Jews). Jesus was speaking to a group of Jewish followers, telling them not to teach Torah to the Gentiles who wouldn't understand it and would only reject it, or twist it around into idolatry.

This little teaching by Jesus is, by the way, completely against the Torah, and against what God gave the Jews to do. Here we see Jesus attempting to negate one of God's most important instructions in the Torah.

Jews are now, and always have taught Gentiles the portions of Torah that apply to them. We are commanded to do that by God. Even when we are persecuted and killed for it, as both the Catholic and Protestant churches did for many generations to us. As well, so did the Muslims kill us for it when we lived under them.

What is it that we are to teach from the Torah to the Gentiles? The 7 Noahide Laws, the 7 Universal Laws that are the ONLY laws that ever applied to non-Jews, and which you are NEVER exempted from.

These laws are the path to changing your behaviour and your relationship to God, your fellow man, and to make your world a better place to live in which you manifest by your thoughts, speech, and actions, the compassion and kindness of God, here on earth. This is how each and every person on the planet may become righteous, if they so choose. And will then have a place in the World To Come.

of course he wasn't being literal. Jesus replaced into an enigma in some techniques. He could continually flow the extra beneficial mile and leave the ninety 9 sheep to save the lost one, however the subsequent breath, he could tell his disciples that in the event that they went to a city and have been rejected, basically shake the airborne dirt and dirt off their feet and swap their backs on that crowd. Jesus replaced into telling the disciples that preaching the reliable information to a pair people replaced into like a farmer feeding his pigs with pearls or tossing something efficient to the canines to consume. It replaced right into a waste of what replaced into efficient and the animals could purely activate you and chew you. In that way, i think of Jesus meant that we would desire to continually pontificate to those that're waiting, no longer purely randomly.

"Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces" (Matthew 7:6). It means "Don't try to give the gospel to people who have already rejected it." So stop preaching to me, before you've even picked up the Bible, and read it!!! I'm an Athiest, and AT LEAST I've read the Bible from cover to cover!

I think it means you don't confide about the intimacies of your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ with mockers and scoffers. What it does not mean is that we clam up about the message of hope in the Gospel and fail to testify to the grace of God in our own lives to those who are still in spiritual darkness.

I think it means you need to do some research. Start with going to zeitgeistmovie.com, and watch the movie, at least the first 45 min, and you'll see why there is such disbelief. Because there is a reason to disbelieve.

I think it means don't waste time, effort or energy on ignorant pigs who won't appreciate it, because they will throw it back in your face and cause damage while they do it.
