Yes you have to repent of your sins. Without doing that, why would anyone need a savior? You also have to accept Jesus Christ as your savior. A person who has done this is a person who is born again in the spirit of God. God will begin to change this person...if they surrender their life to God, and in time God will certainly, and should certainly, become the foundation and focus of one's life.

Jesus said that you have to be born again by the waters and baptisim is the way to go.
Most people beleive that once they turn chrisitans thier lives is over. Chrisitanity doesnt mena that hence why there are more sinners in the world. It doesnt mean that you cannot go to parties, the movies, change your hairstyle or even drink a little wine - however its the manner in which you do it.
Jesus also says - "come as you are" and he is talking to eveybody. My church pastor says the night she got saved she was practically naked in the church coming from a dance.
God is our creator and is actually at the centre of our lives since he is the reason for our existence but at the same time it doesnt mean that every word that comes from your mouth should be "jesus" he knows you have a life - he is just introducing a much sweeter way of living it up on a win win situation like you doing the right thing by abiding by his 10 commandments and you going to heaven.

Definitely. If you truly want to repent and have sins forgiven, then God has to be the center of your life. In reality, it's tough living a God centered life since our nature calls for us to do the opposite of what God expects from us.

Yes, why else would you repent of your sins? Just to go sin more? Believe me NO ONE is perfect, but as long as you repent and be saved and a have a personal relationship with the Lord, he will answer all your prayers as long as you are sincere.

depends on what you mean
a person is saved by grace alone through faith and Jesus saves a person just as they are
repentance and good works are the fruit of salvation, the evidence, a necessary sign of life, but not the cause of salvation.
we were dead in our sins, grace by saving faith is how we are saved and raised. But if there are no signs of life... no health, no spiritual appetite, then the patient might not really have spiritual life and perhaps needs to still come to the Lord and be saved
however Jesus does not leave a perosn just as they are and I think part of the evidence that one has been given spiritual life, become a new creation is an appetitie for God... evidense of God working in their life..
the scriptures will say things like "without holiness no one will see the Lord" in Hebrews and also "he who endures to the end shall be saved" in Mark... I think what it means is that a person who is really saved, as the fruit of salvation will stand and persevere somehow being changed by God
but it is the fruit, not the root
the works are evidence of salvation not prerequisite to salvation
In part, they help you know where you stand and if you need salvation
so it depends... yes it is a necessary result of salvation... no you dont pull yourself up by your dead bootstraps to be saved only God can save

No to the first, yes to the second. Putting God at the center of your life means turning everything over to him and that's something I believe everyone struggles with for most if not all of their lives. My dad is a pastor/elder of a Christian church and I've watched him seek God's will for my entire life (and I'm not a kid!)...I know my dad is saved and I know that he struggles every day not to worry (one clear indication you haven't really given him everything). My mom was also a devout Christian and I watched her struggle with low self-esteem and other things that she thought God wanted her to fix on her own! ...and I know that I struggle every day to put him first in everything...in some things, no problem, but in others, I still have to work hard to remember to put him in the driver's seat...and I'm sure he'll continue to reveal new things to me throughout my life. I can't attend church two weeks in a row without being convicted by God about something in my life that I need to change to be able to say that he truly is the center of my life!

You have to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior to be saved. Then you will want God to be the center of your life. Read the book of Romans in the Holy Bible and learn the truth.

Not to be a jackass(I don't believe in the Christian Deity), but I don't think it's right that you should have to repent your sins and surrender to God.
Let me tell you this; as long as you firmly know in your mind that God is real and don't do things like killing people, you should be fine.

Sure. If you surrender yourself you will not condemn yourself. Sometimes we stand condemn on our own terms. Leave aside the terms of God at the moment.

Um, in the Christian version yes.
Which is what I think you are referring to since you are using the word 'saved'.
Are you hoping for a loophole so that you don't have to do anything and be saved? I don't think you are going to find it there.
