hm. This doesn't sound right. Usually when you're talking about square footage and rooms, you're measuring the total area of the floor. The measurements could vary, as many room shapes will total up to that. For example, an 807 square foot room could be about 40' x 20', or it could be more square... about 28.4 feet square. Either way, that's a large room and most houses do not contain rooms this size.

You might be thinking of the total size of the walls, for the purpose of painting them. In this case, given 8 foot ceilings and a relatively square room, each wall would be about 807/4 or about 202 square feet, or 25 feet long. So now the room's 25 feet square, which is STILL pretty big.

You might be looking at your paint can, which says it will cover 807 square feet? If so, if it's one-coat coverage, that's two rooms about 12.5 feet square. If you'll need two coats, that's one room about 12.5 feet square.

So, maybe you could clarify your question? Let us know which of these you mean?

For these measurements, it doesn't matter what the height of your room is. The measurement is in square feet, which is length x width (the floor area of the room). I would think that the manufacturer would assume a room height of 8 ft, since that is the standard height for most homes. Since your walls are only 7 feet tall (hope your baby doesn't grow up to be a basketball player!), I would think that the purifiers would work over a slightly larger area (about 2500 sq ft). Before going ahead, I would do two things: double-check the manufacturer's numbers (if they are in CUBIC feet, then as earlier posters have mentioned, 2200 cubic feet covers a 16x16 room), and measure the walls (I'll bet they're 8 feet tall).

Pretty big... my house is only about 1,100 square feet.

By the way, 12.5' X 12.5' = 156.25 sq.ft. The 8' ceilings don't make a difference--you're thinking volume.

A small bedroom is about 10' x 10', which is about 100 sq. ft. So, if you took about 8 small rooms and put that all together, then that's about how big it would be.

If it is in a square, it would be about 29 x 29. Each wall would be about 29 feet long. If you were in a 12 1/2 x 12 1/2 room, it would be approx. 156 square feet.
