Hi all. I just wondered if anyone had suffered from this and had a doctor who knew why it happened.

The thing is that say if I go into a shop and its really warm, I start to get hot quickly, get prickly heat, feel dizzy and my left side of chest hurts.

Now Ive had around 5 heart tests over the past year so my doctors wont give me any more tests in that region and they just say its anxiety and/or muscle tension.

Any ideas?

thanks for reading

p.s my chest doesnt hurt with exercise, Im 24,non smoker, non drinker, average build.

In our professional opinion, though we are not surgeons but have clients who are, we do not believe someone not qualified to give answers to such questions, particularly those in the medically related fields should be doing so as each situation differs. On accounting we may be so bcbsinc.com, but in medicine we are not but we provide a link that is most popular in this instance. Trust it will assist.

Sounds like anxiety to me.
I suffered panic attacks a while back and what you are describing (getting hot quickly, pricklyheat, dizzy and chest pain) all point towards this.
It is at the end of the day, just adrenilin rushing through your body.
For some reason your body is jumping into a fight or flight mode (a bit like if you were being chased by a mad axeman lol)
You need to learn some relaxation excersises and when these attacks occur you wil be able to deal with them.
Eventually, they will go completely.
Yoiu can buy relaxation and breathing technique CD's in WH Smiths.

I know I have anxiety problems, but I had an attack the other day and the only thing I can pin it on is the heat. I went from a cold store to a hot parking lot, carrying purchases, and I was walking more and more slowly trying not to pass out. Eventually I couldn't drive home. I felt out of balance and dizzy. No chest pain. Confusion. Similar?

Like some have said it does sound like anxiety, but as you seem to get hot very quickly, perhaps you have a combination of claustrophobia and panic attacks

You're having panic attacks !!!
Your GP needs to prescribe some medication to help with this; and also to establish the trigger of your anxiety !!

When I get hot it triggers depression, yours may be a form of stress also.
CURE - Smile as big as you can looking at the ceiling, now keep that smile always.
You can have anxiety in many different ways and not know.
It's you putting stress on yourself, now you know so STOP.
