I hope you know the differences between you all are few...

A lot of your traditions are Catholic traditions didn't you know?

I'm from the USA. I never had any bad experiences with any Catholics. Part of my are Catholics. If its a difference of practices I can safely say that within the Protestant denominations there are quite a variety of different practices.

I think because they believe hearsay rather than investigating for themselves. There are many, many untruths out there about Catholics, such as we worship statues, which we do not.

Listening to anothers opinion and going along for the ride without forming your own thoughts or opinion is a dangerous game. Remember the Holocaust? Many just went with the flow and believed what evil was spouted out of Hitler's mouth about the Jews. Six million lives later, the horror stopped.

Form your own opinions from your own research. Talk to us. We'll answer you from charity and with humility.

Because they don't understand certain things about the Catholic religion. For example, people not familiar with the Catholic church believe we worship the Virgin Mary. Also, Dan Brown's books (as entertaining as they are, I have read them) don't help much. The Church is guilty of many wrongs throughout history and got a bad rep. But remember, it's not about the religion, it's about faith. The Catholic church has been around a long, long time and is not going anywhere.

For two reasons: Firstly, religion is one of the many ways that humanity gets to feel like it's better than the other guy (and honestly that's one of the biggest parts of our lives is getting to say that "Hey! They don't do what we do! That means they're stupid!") and secondly, and this is minor second, has to do with the history between those particular groups, a component of which is the feud between English Protestants, and a significant Catholic populations that they were in contention with, ie. the French, the Spanish, and the Irish. It has more to do with the first one.

Many (but not all )Protestants are afraid to look into history and see that they are basically Catholics minus some things and what they have of Christianity they got from Catholicism. We are all the same religious family.

No one should be picking on anyone religion because truthfully none of them are the one!!!!!! Different religions came about because HUMANS didn't like what the one they were in was doing and they decided to part and start their own with their views of how things should be done. Really, they all need to look at their roots.....JUDAISM and the bible. Alot of the TRADITIONS as you say are made by man...hardly biblical.

Everything needs to be filtered thru the bible and if you don't find it their then its not biblica and most certainly made up.

If you read and study about church reform...OMG...its an eye opener!

AND SMELLY MELY.....IF YOU CLAIM TO BE CHRISTIAN THEN YOU ARE NOT DOING A VERY GOOD JOB OF IT WHICH IS A PERECT EXAMPLE OF WHY PEOPLE QUESTION US ABOUT OUR FAITH! IF YOU HAVE NOTHING EDIFYING TO SAY, THEN YOU SHOULDN'T BE ANSWERING QUESTIONS.

Did you miss history class? The same catholic church that was here since 600 a.d. is the one we see today. It has not changed.

Well, in Northern Ireland, this dispute has been going o for AGES. I think it all started when people came over on the Mayflower, trying to get away from the Church. Where do you live? Because depending on where you live, the answer may vary. Please post where you are from, so I can further answer your question!
