This is the religion section. Why do you come here to talk about something you don't believe in? Why would you try to sway children from the right path? Do you realise you are working for satan and satan has given you logic as a tool against God?

Drink!

I do love how you point out logic is a tool against god. That is probably the most true statement I have ever seen.

I'm here because I like to see how many people were brainwashed into beleiving there is a god. I don't try to sway people from the "right" path, if they were stable in their "faith" no matter what I say or anyone else says, they will not be swayed. Are you afraid that one day an atheist will say something to sway you from being brainwashed from your beliefs, and you actually see the problem with believing in something that probably doesn't exist?

We're here because, like you, we have every right to say what we think of religion. No, we're not trying to "sway children fro the right path", we're trying to share our opinions with the world. Also, i didn't realize logic was a bad thing, lol, i always thought logic was a useful tool. Are you telling me you never use logic, since you think it is a tool of "satan"? Also, no, i didn't realize that i am working for satan.... i dont remember sending him a resume. I also dont recieve a paycheck, so if satan, as you believe, des in fact exist, hes a crappy employer. also, how do you expect the "working for satan" argument to work on me? I think satan is a fairytale. Its like telling me to go work for santa or the tooth fairy. now does that seem logical to you? oh, im sorry, i forgot: you dont use logic. well, never mind, then.

This is a section to talk ABOUT religion. Atheism is a choice not to be religious, but that doesn't mean that we can't talk or think about religion.

Personally, I think that you're on the wrong path, and that LOGIC is the only reliable basis for belief. The only thing I'm trying to "sway" children towards it thinking for themselves, and not blindly following like sheep.

In saying that logic is a tool of satan, are you saying that god is illogical?

I guess you didn't notice the rest of the title of this board - it's religion ~and~ spirituality. Some atheists are spiritual some aren't. Belief in a deity is not a requirement for spirituality as it can come from other places. Myself I get my spiritual side from nature, music & art.

You know, telling an atheist they are working for satan is pretty much beating your head against a brick wall since we do not believe he nor deities are real.

your funny, no really your funny. there are no 'athiests' here that is there are a lot of atheists here, spelling please. now then to answer you, are we working for satan, um no that's not passable, because there is no such thing, ok if there is no such thing how can we be affiliated with it? and wow logic, that's evil, ok well, step away from your computer, your computer is logic, it is a logic only device, if logic is evil, your sinning by using your computer, I'm a computer scientist, i know they only work by logic, is satan as you say gave us logic, leave this place, never do maths and never learn 'logic.' carry on deluding yourself. theism affects me, in several states i can't hold office, (I'm in the UK but i can fight for those in the USA) or the fact that in the US i can't buy alchol on a Sunday in a lot of states, not because of my beliefs but someone Else's, religion matters to me because its shoved down my neck, why should i have to put up with evangelicals shouting 'devil' at me on the high street because of a scar i have on my face? consider i got it serving my country? religion affects me in a number of ways i don't like it doesn't leave me alone it affects me. as for making little children from the right path, well how can i be responsible for who is on here and reading what this dirty heathen writes? hmmm

Perhaps there ar more atheists in the world than you would like to imagine.
You can talk about things that you don't belive in. It's called, free exchange of ideas. It is something that people adhering to a dogma do avoid.
One person's right path is another's wrong path.
and... NO.
does this answer all your questions?

Oops, I'm sorry I guess all that study, I accomplished, of various religions and answering questions within the frame of the religion asking the question is not permitted because you say so? Just because I'm Buddhist and essentially atheist doesn't make your opinion law... oh and then there's the whole freedom of speech thing too....

This is the atheist section. The mythology and folklore section is reserved for god believers. If I believed in Satan then I wouldn't be an atheist.
