Buy a Chevy and send it to the Lingenfelter shop. They can drop in a new engine with amazing horsepower that can beat any Ford Lightning or Dodge V-10. I think some of those trucks are running 0-60 in 4 seconds!

Ford is currently making a saleen truck that is pretty quick and looks great. Dodge has its srt10 truck but dont buy one. I considered buying one about a year ago and am so glad I didnt. I have never seen the price of a vehical drop as fast as thats truck did. They were trying to sell them for like 10-15k under msrp. They only get like 12mpg. Dont get me wrong, I think they look awsome, sound awsome, have an awsome interior, and are very fast for a truck. ( i think they are around a 13.3 1/4 mile) They currently hold the record for the worlds fastest production truck. I really like the lightnings becase of there reliabillity, resale value, gas millage (it gets good millage because it is a supercharger v8 instead of a v10 like the srt10). I also really, really, like the 2004 harley davison f150 trucks. They come with a supercharged 5.4 v8 engine and have a phenominal interior. The interior is really awsome. It also has the option of a crew cab which the lightnings do not.

Dodge has some mean factory performance trucks, The SRT-10 is really quick. Chevy has the SS and of course the SS 454 which are also quick trucks. If you are asking specifically for Ford performance trucks, I dont know of much other than the Lightning. I like them but I wont own them, I need four wheel drive :)

A pickup truck is the least sporty vehicle design on the road today. The high center of mass, terrible weight distribution, thick & heavy construction, soft suspension, bad steering feedback, solid transaxle (lack of a center differential, in other words), terrible aerodynamics, and low-power, high-torque engine make a pickup truck the worst possible candidate for a racing vehicle.
You can buy a pickup truck that is trying to be a race car, and it will be faster and more nimble than a regular pickup truck, but you can't get rid of all the bad features without turning into a different vehicle entirely (a sports car).

Well... if you want to consider something like the old Ranchero's a truck (It's in a class of it's own)
Take a look at the 2007 Ford Falcon Super Pursuit.
http://www.fpv.com.au/cars/super-pursuit/exterior/exterior.aspx
Available with a Boss 290!
I'd buy one, once Ford realizes that they should be selling them in the US.

Try any of the turbo diesel versions of trucks. They will blow your mind, and sound very cool in the process. There are lots of upgrades available for those as well.
