Depends ... in some places that constitutes being 'drunk in public,' and you can be arrested for that. Chances are though if you don't give the police a reason to approach you there won't be a problem (i.e. don't act drunk).

This one depends on the cop and your behavior.

Lets say I'm the cop. Are you being loud, belligerent to others, urinating on the wall here, vomiting, etc... Are you standing there with a little sway, just minding your own business?

Its all the factors that make the difference. I contact 20 drunks a night. Unless they are actually doing something stupid/illegal they are fine. Of course I've let some go that start **** later and cause me to come back and arrest them for more heinous things than Drunk In Public.

If your acting normal and not making a spectacle of yourself nothing will probably happen to you. However, if you are really intoxicated or under 21 or at least look younger you may get asked a couple of questions, but for the most part you should be fine.

particular companies do in certainty have unofficial quotas. As in, they'll deny they have a quota, yet internally interior the dep. there is an expectation which you're able to desire to usher in a definite volume of tickets or arrests. i'm fortunate that my branch truly does no longer have a quota. None in anyway. in case you're in an exceedingly expert unit (i.e. Vice, Anti-Crime, and so on.), you're predicted to produce outcomes however. in spite of the undeniable fact that a known patrol officer like myself isn't. as long as I answer the radio and reply to runs they do no longer look to care. on the turn factor you nonetheless prefer to do get tickets and arrests as a results of fact it facilitates with determination to unique guidance or assignments. different companies are not so fortunate. a pal of mine for an unnamed state corporation has quotas and that they are disciplined in the event that they dont usher in "stats". additionally, NYPD is extensive-unfold for unofficial quotas interior the experience that they'll deny requests for days off or relocate you based on your overall performance. Alot of individuals think of quotas are approximately incomes money for the state, the certainty is that a definite point of productiveness is predicted and at cases, quotas are the only thank you to make helpful an officer does "professional-lively artwork". it is basically while the quotas are extreme that it gets ridiculous on account that working around ALL day just to verify you're making your numbers is dumb and motives burn out speedy.

As a cop, I would probably offer you a ride if I had time..... If you attract attention to yourself, that is when you would be looking at something else.
