is there such a scam that asks u to take a survey and then uses the number sequence to charge long distance to your account... someone called it high-jacking?

if so, how can i find out if that just happened to my husband?

no they called us. it was automated. my husband answered the questions by pushing numbers on the key pad.

If they are going to hijack your line calling you would NOT be part of the process. I believe you are referring to a scam the worked with SOME business phone systems that involved tricking someone into transferring a call to an outside line. This in not possible for a single line. It doesn't work with most current business phone systems either.

just refuse the charges on your phone bill they will take them off if you pitch a fit..Ask to talk to a supervisor that always works..
