i am a gymnast, and right now i am out of my sport because of a back injury. I want to keep up my ab shape tho. does any one know of some low-impact ab excersices that would not irritate my lower back? (above the hip bones i have numerous back spasms) please, i need the answers now, i am at my gym training and i need these answers fast!

crunches are low impact if you do them right - lift up only your shoulder blades off the floor and dont help yourself with lifting up your head and neck
also weighted hula hoop is a good one
and just flexing your abs when you sit or walk or wait in line - flex them for 20-30sec - do as many reps as you want
