yes it comes with the same standard connector cables thats the PS 2 came with for use on standard definition sets.If you ever do upgrade to HD TV you can get the HDMI cord to see it in its best visual quality. (In case you were wondering yes it still looks decent on a regular TV.Not as crisp as on HD but the visual quality still blows away what the PS 2 did graphically).

Yes the PS3 does work on non-HDTV's. I've had mine for about 7 months and it does work with standard TV. If you want to experience the PS3's graphics at it's best, I recommend that you get a HDTV though.
