Here are a few websites to help you.

Blarney Castle

Arguably the most famous old castle in Ireland, largely on account of its famous stone and the tradition of attributing gifts of elocution to the stone located in its tower.

Crawford Municipal Art Gallery

Housed within an 18th Century Customs House, the gallery features Irish painters and decorative pieces.

Michael Collins Centre

Located in Clonakilty, this visitor centre tells you about the story of Ireland’s modern hero.

Arigideen Heritage Park

Replicas of historical monuments representative of West Cork are on show at this park.

Cobh Heritage Centre

This port located near Cork was known as Queenstown when Ireland was a part of Britain. The great Irish emigration saw over 2.5 million people leaving the shores of the Emerald Isle in the 19th and early 20th Centuries through this town. This centre is dedicated to re-telling the story of this great historical event.

City of Cork: Lots of art galleries, Triskel arts centre, Crawford Gallery are just two.

Patrick Street and Plunkett are good for shopping.

The English Market is also very nice.

Just walk around the little streets between Patrick Street and the river Lee, they are cute and there are lots of places to eat.

County Cork: Miles of coastline. Islands - Cape Clear and Sherkin are just two. Kinsale and Bantry very popular, Youghal and Cobh very nice, Cobh last port of call of the ill-fated Titanic, only Cobh was called Queenstown back then in 1912. Inland is Blarney (tourist trap), then interesting towns like Mallow, Kanturk, Fermoy. Mallow Castle is supposed to be haunted. Doneraile Park nice.

If the weather is good the bars on the river are a must, AND I Know it's a cliche but Blarney Castle is only about 15 miles north-west of the city so you can kiss the Blarney Stone. Enjoy yourself anyway it's a better city than Dublin.
