I was told by a Christian friend that Isa (pbuh) was actually born in the summer, but Im not sure if this is correct or not.
The reason that Christians celebrate Isa's (pbuh) birthday on the 25th of december is because it coincides with the birth of the Pagan God of light(i.e. The Sun) The Winter Solstice is december 21st, this is the day when the the Sun begins to sit higher in the sky and stay for a longer period of time, thus making the days longer again.
When Christians were trying to convert the pagans they adopted a date for the birth of Isa (pbuh), the Christian King, that was close to the date that the solstice (birth of the Pagan King) was celebrated in the hopes that it would make it easier for the pagans to convert.
~sorry for the rambling, Im prob not much help
:)

I'm not too sure that his birthday really is on December 25th. When you think about it, if his birthday is on December 25th that means his birthday falls on a different date every year on the Islamic calendar. December 25th is the Christian date for Prophet Isa's (pbuh) birthday. I wonder if there is a way to figure it out on the Islamic calendar.

Nobody really knows for sure, but there is historical and literary evidence which indicates that is was some time in the spring.
Christians celebrate on December 25 because it corresponds to both the Roman Saturnalia, and the North European Pagan solstice celebrations. Almost all, if not entirely all, of the Christian holidays have been assigned their dates based on trying to overshadow pagan celebrations.

I heard it was in July sometime, but it was moved to December 25 so recent converts to Christianity could celebrate the religious holiday with their previous pagan holidays, that they were still celebrating, at the same time.

I'm sorry sis, this question really interested me, and I tried to do some research but I couldn't find it out. Some Muslims here say it's christmas day, but I'm not sure.
Peace.

Holy Quran Says in Surah Mariam regarding Jesus peace be on him:
15. So Peace on him the day he was born, the day that he dies, and the day that he will be raised up to life (again)!

Seriously, I don't know. what I know is most certainly it's not 25th December cause it's got to do something with pagan god or stuff.. The Qur'an doesn't really mention abt birthdays u know, not even of Muhammad's(pbuh).

Ive tried researching this but cant find anything of what Islam says when Prophet Jesus Essa , ( Peace Be Upon Him) was born, we have to go by the bible where it says Jesus Essa (pbuh) was born on the 25th, but they celebrate it like it was the Jesus Essa (pbuh) who was crucufied for our sins, which we Muslims of course dont believe that, but i will contunue to research about Islam view on Jesus, Essa (pbuh) birth, everyting esle on Jesus Essa (pbuh) from a Islamic view i know where to look to but im sure i believe Islam also states Jesus Essa (pbuh) being born on the 25th December,Two Thousand & Seven years ago.

We assume sometime in Spring because in the Quran it says the Virgin Mary picked a fruit from a tree shortly before giving birth.
