HEROES FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY, just like the Vietnam War where thousands of Puerto Ricans fought for a war that was not theirs , I don't remember ever hear about the Puerto Rican War Heroe Day. please correct me if I'm wrong . we are not afraid to go to your war , if we cross the border under very precarious situations and even some of us lost the life , in the process, nothing can be more scary than been discriminated and persecuted , or racism . just say when we are ready , are you?

i totally disagree with anyone wanting to come to iraq just so they can gain citizenship to america, or any country for that matter. i think it's, also, retarded for legislation to be passed that would allow citizenship in this manner. yes, i said 'come to iraq' cause i'm here now. my heritage is mexican, but i'm 3rd generation birth in america. if asked my nationality or where i'm from - it's american/america. believe me i love being mexican and i love being american. now let me ask you, would you really risk a horrific death or mutilation for citizenship? should you be killed in iraq/afganistan would your family really want their citizenship, especially in this manner? haven't you watched news? the military isn't treated good. hell a lot of the injured personnel can't get decent medical care and are separated from service. a lot of them aren't old enough to by beer. yeah, i'm in this war torn country and my family hates it. if i get killed the majority of the world won't care, but i do what i do because of the love that i have for my peoples(american or mexican) even if they are ungrateful and can't get along. i don't care for medals or for a day or street to be named after me. i just want to be able to do what i can to protect my family and friends, of which live in the us and mexico.

Actually I'm pretty sure that any immigrant that serves in the armed forces overseas immediately qualifies for citizenship when they complete their tour of duty. As for the Puerto Ricans, they're US citizens as Puerto Rico is part of the US. The island also receives a large amount of federal welfare money that keeps it from becoming much worse off than it would be otherwise. I'd personally rather have that instead of a parade.

First you need to seriously sit down and talk to some Vietnam Vets. They were shunned when they got back. They were treated terribly. Which I cannot stand to even think about.
When you say "us illegals" you group yourself in with them. Then you say you are a citizen? Which is it?
I am all for you going to Iraq, so that you learn how to spell it. No K in Iraq.
A hero is a person from the military that goes to fight for their country. How you can compare sneaking into a country illegally with that is beyond me. Losing your life to break the law of a country to get into it is not exactly the same as signing up with the military because you love your country.
And yet you think that if we ship illegals over to fight in a country you can't even spell, it will HELP our situation over there? A bunch of people who cannot even communicate with their commanding officer? Or are you suggesting that our entire military force learn to speak Spanish? And its variations in other countries south of our border? And for the honor of having to protect a bunch of people who have no idea what is going on, we should grant citizenship to their entire families????
Whatever drug you took was laced with something super special. Did you get that in Mexico?
Not afraid to cross the border? The Mexicans are blaming the US because they are taking more dangerous routes into the country they are illegally entering, and blaming the US for the fact that 275 have died doing it. We didn't put them there.
I would never want a member of my family fighting along side someone who has so little disregard for the laws of this country.

Puerto Ricans cannot vote because they choose not to be more closely tied to the United States.

Honestly, I wouldn't change that situation were I Puerto Rican--you get the benefit of American citizenship without the downfalls.

I think if Mexicans started showing up in Iraq it would confuse the hell out of the Iraqis, as since the last time they looked at a map, Mexico was nowhere near their country, and now, here you all are! [Tectonic plate madness??] A lot of the Iraqis would then sneak across the border, thinking they were going into the US, only to find that they were in Iran, or Afghanistan. How f'd up would THAT be???

Puerto Ricans are citizens by birth. Puerto Rico has been a US posssesion since 1903. Is there another Puerto Rico out their somewhere? Maybe it's next to "Irak".

yes you would be heroes just like citizens who served, if you die your family are put on the fast track to citizenship (that would have happened as soon as you get out of basic training)

No group of veterans have their own day, they all have Veterans day & Memorial day. That's just silly, Puerto Rican Vet day, Black vet day, White vet day etc. We don't care where our vets are from, they are all honored.

Heck I think that if you want to join the US military you wouldn't even need to make a dangerous border crossing, you could probably get things started in Mexico at one of the embassies.

Why would we trust you not to go AWOL and join up with the Iraqi? We don't want bodies to serve, we want American patriots who love our country and are fighting for it's freedom. I hope our boys realize how much they are appreciated by Americans. Illegals aren't appreciated in any arena as far as I know. We just wish they'd all go home and let us live our lives as we did before we were invaded.

it is going to take a revaluation to wake the administrative.up. u . s . a . electorate spend extra then criminal immigrants, criminal immigrants spend extra then illegals. this got here from walmart data, i could submit the link yet i gets fired. it is actuality, i study the record myself and that i do no longer think in mendacity approximately something.

if we do that for you then you can say you have discovered a new country one that affords more opportunity for you than the USA because the way things are going there will not be any iraqi left so you can take over and rebuild the country to your likening
