i started seroquel soon after it came out, about 9-10 years ago.since then i've been free of hearing voices 24/7.during this time only a few brief episodes b/c of extra stress.otherwise for me,seroquel is probley one of the main reasons i'm still here at all.----oh yeh--if ya taking it also to help ya sleep-take it on a very full stomache.within an hour you'll be dead to the world.good luck.

Ya i take seroquel. You did not state the dosage which is really important. My doctor told me to take 25-50mg once a day and another 25-50 if i feel that i need it. (stressfull situation or whatever) I then take 100 -200 mg at night before i got to bed. The 200 mg at night makes me feel groggy the next day, so i don't often take that much. I know in my case it seems like alot of medicine that i take everyday, but the dosages are not really high. Plus it does give me some control over my treatment and I can adjust it depending on how my day is going. I am also able to use as little as possible

I hate to offer any advice w/o knowing more information. That would be highly irresponsible...and any further info isn't any of my damn business. Bottom line...Do you trust your Dr?...if yes, follow advice...if no, second (medical) opinion should be sought.

I have taken Seroquell, briefly, in the past and didn't suffer heart failure or diabetic side effects, if that is what your asking.

I take 425mg every evening and do not feel hungover the next day. It's been the only drug (and we've tried several) that gets me to sleep and keeps me asleep. I have a friend who can't tolerate even 25mg at bedtime, so everybody is different.

Please, please, please, be careful with the doseage. When I took it I was asleep in less than 5 minutes, and I felt like I could sleep all day the next day. It does help you relax, a little too well, in my opinion.
