What a baited question.....

Achievements involve reaching a goal or some end, so I would have to say that there are many things that most of us strive to achieve everyday. From something as simple to getting to work on time to something like acquiring a Phd, these are all achievements. Personally, I would like to achieve both of the above and would consider myself a success in doing so.

I am one of those people that are never happy with themselves, so I would have to guess that even achieving this would not make me happy. This brings the discussion to a whole new level - is happiness an achievement in itself or is it a result of achieving?

To answer your question directly, I would have to say that I would like to achieve existential happiness, not just temporary happiness.

To ensure I've had a positive effect on as many people as possible. If I can make a difference in just one persons life and make things better for them and everyone else as a result then thats enough for me. And if everyone had this attitude then surely we can eradicate most of the problems in the world to do with hunger, illness and poverty. Sounds too ideal to come true thoug doesn't it?

I would like to be an English Professor in New York City, still be a rock climber, and be a nice person :)

(I know the last part sounds cheesy, but I'm a little bit of a hothead)

I never really had any goals, think I'm past the stage now of wanting anything for myself. I just want to be a good mum, get my little one through school and watch her grow into the beautiful woman she is already becoming. I would love to see her settled and maybe hold my grandchild and then i can leave this world in peace.

Happiness... I want to find a career that I'll enjoy, have a wonderful husband with a good sense of humour, a house a car or two, good health for me and my family... and maybe just maybe a couple of kids one day.
