A true Christian is one who believes that Jesus is God and has given up their will to do the will of God. Motivated by two things.
1) Their love for God.
2) Their love for their neighbor (mankind)

Someone who is proud/egotistic and judgmental....
A real 'true' christian would not go around saying that "that person is not a true christian" because of whatever reason. That's not being humble, forgiving, its condemning, and that is not what Jesus taught.
A christian is a person, who believes Jesus is their savior; who desires to be more Christ-like, who desires a relationship with God, the Father almighty. A christian will make mistakes, and not always live according to the word.
Jesus was the only true 'christian'

A true Christian is someone who follows Jesus' example, and don't give into the wicked ways of the earth. Yes, Christians sin, but they strive not to. I am a Christian. It says in the Bible that everyone sins. So you can't blame a Christian for sinning

I believe in order to be a Christian you have to do the following....
Believe and accept that Jesus Christ died for your sins, and will represent you in front of God on your judgment day
Try to emulate Jesus' life by not sinning, obeying the ten commandments, and following your instincts...that inner voice (the Holy Spirit), when it guides you to make the right choice.
In the event you do sin, you ask for forgiveness via praying, and make a conscience effort to not repeat that sin.
When you are face down, and nowhere to turn, pray....read the Bible, especially the New Testament...the Gospels...also Corinthians, and Romans....all good stuff for wannabe Christians....
Jesus does exist, he answered my prayers, and I will never doubt it again

The word or meaning of a Christian means that that person is of Christ. Today that has a huge meaning, since not all religions teach with Christ in the center of them. Being a Christian today means that they have a knowlege and longing to be of Christ, as taught as being the Savior unto God.
As far as the crusades, yes, the Catholic government back then have a lot to do with affairs, and goings ons.....just like you have maybe heard that supporting Bush means that you support his troops being there. One can support the troops, but not support Bush for sending them there.
Just like with Christ, you can support the One who died for all sins, but not the one that told you that "fighting against Arabs means fighting for Christ." Just like the crusades.....
People are human, and fighting for people will always leave you wondering why, but living for Christ will not leave you wondering why, just how do you reach people to let them understand Christ, not killing or "fighting".....
A true Christian has evangelism, or reaching other people, at the core of their hearts, since that is what God told us to do, to tell everyone about Him........

its not that hard. no matter what everyone says or what religious groups there are, a true christian just follows the teachings of Christ. This includes Peace and Love. I am baffled at people who claim to be christians yet they kill and hate others for not being christians. for example the westboro baptist church. a true christian does not kill or hate others for being different but instead follows the teachings of christ and tries to spread his ways without using violence or hate.

maximum individuals confuse Judging others with having an opinion. choose not lest you be judged ability you have the authority to choose and are available to a variety punishments. the skill to punish is the version between judging and having an opinion. you're able to have an opinion with out punishing somebody. Jesus gave his opinion each and every of the time. Matthew 23 23 “Woe to you, instructors of the regulation and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You supply a 10th of your spices—mint, dill and cumin. yet you have ignored the extra substantial concerns of the regulation—justice, mercy and faithfulness. you will have practiced the latter, with out neglecting the former. 24 You blind classes! You rigidity out a gnat yet swallow a camel. Being a Christian ability to be like Christ.

Definition of a "true Christian" is someone who believes they are a true Christian. Anything else is speculation, at best. Personally, I think that if you believe in Christ and his teachings, then you are a Christian. Interpretation of that will vary, but that is fine by me.

You are right, each sect will claim that they are the only "true" Christians. Yet you have to search far and wide to find one of them that actually lives by what their god told them. The whole religion is laughable for so many reasons.
