I think the Satan's appearance would depend largely upon what he thought would influence you the most. His end goal is the possession of your soul, his form would be of little consequence. If you were the type of person who was seeking power, he would appear in a form that would radiate power, so he may appear as the full-blown typical horns and tail devil.
But if you desired influence or popularity, he would appear in a much more pleasing form. If all you wanted to do was party and be popular he would appear in a form that looked like Paris Hilton. And if you would sell your soul for a puppy, you can bet he'd be on your doorstep in a basket, cute brown eyes tearing into your soul.

Or, maybe he's cleverer than that. He would appear ugly, and WE would assume he was good, because WE would assume that Satan would try to make us THINK he was good by appearing handsome. Why? Because primitive peoples associate beauty with goodness. Therefore WE would think that an UGLY person couldn't be Satan, because that would be too obvious.
OR maybe he would KNOW we would assume that, so he would appear handsome to REALLY fool, us, because only an idiot would think that looking handsome would be construed as anything other than 'good', and Lucifer CLEARLY isn't stupid, so obviously he wouldn't appear handsome because who would be fooled by that?
If you do this long enough, you will come to an understanding. Well, MOST people will, you might not.

Handsome since he is a deceiver. Often the way a person appears on the outside and their true nature inside are polar opposites. The only angel he is is a hells angel.

I think if you saw him as he would want to be seen, he would be extremely attractive. He was, after all, an angel and is a deciever by nature.
On the other hand if you saw him the way he truely is, totally evil, arrogant, and void of love or compassion, in other words the way God probably sees him, then I would guess he would be shockingly hideous.

Well, if he had a form that we could see, rather than being the spirit creature that he is, I believe he would be tremendously handsome. In Isaiah, when it speaks about Lucifer before his rebellion, it speaks of him as being beautiful. Scripture also says that he transforms himself into an angel of light to deceive. When he approached Eve in the garden, she did not appear to be alarmed and recoil from him, even though he spoke thru a serpent, instead, she trusted what he had to say.

I think he would be very handsome. If he were ugly, he would not be able to gain your trust as easily. Also, you are right about him being an angel. He used to sit on the left hand of God, until he got cast out.

I agree completely. One of his names is Lucifer which means Son of the Morning. He was God's most brilliant angelic creation. Problem is, since he fell, I would imagine his countenance would have changed somewhat, especially when his true nature is revealed. I'd imagine this is why so much Renaissance era iconic art pictures him as red with horns and a forked tail and pitchfork and etc.....I suppose he IS beautiful to those he attempts to deceive until he ropes them in and they see him for who he is.

Being in satanism I saw satan alot. While in it he always showed himself as being a regular type person sometimes as a glowing angel. When I became a christian he visited me one time. I saw him for who he really is. He was full of hate, ugly and mean. He hates every human being, even those that serve him.

Satan has the ability to appear as a beautiful angel of light. One would then assume he'd have the power to appear as beautiful as he wished. He is, as you say, the great deceiver.

Bible describes him as an 'angel of light'. Probably handsome in appearance, as part o the deception.
