Left leaning independent as the right wing tries to legislate how I should live my life too much. Plus, they cater way too much to the religious crowd.

I registered Republican years ago because I'm generally conservative when it comes to fiscal issues and believe in a strong defense. A couple of years ago, I switched to Independent because I'm pretty moderate on most issues, but, and here's the hard part for most people these days, I actually review the issues and the candidates before any election and vote for the person I believe will do the best job. Can you imagine that? I have actually voted for democrats!!! Horrors.

Actually, I am more of a libertarian in terms of my beliefs, but the Libertarian party kind of scares me with the candidates they run. Don't know if that helps, but good luck.

Neither. The parties tend to cater to the extreme edges. Why do you like Republicans over Democrats? Is it because you are ignorant and have yet to discover that the Republicans are no more than corrupt lying whores? Democrats are not much better. Instead vote for the best person for the office, not a damn political party.

I'm not really a democrat but I lean much more towards their side. Republicans believe in the trickle down effect, which is giving big business tax breaks, and then they will lower prices so this equates to more money for everyone, It doesn't work Big business just make more profit. Also republicans are as a general rule for the war in Iraq, and I am against it.

I am a registered Republican ONLY because I am pro-life and, while I disagree with practically all other Republican policies, I have hope that their views can be reshaped if enough people speak out.

It's a shame as an evangelical Christian that my strong belief that abortion is murder forces me to register with the party that uses near-racist rhetoric to describe the immigration debate and would rather give tax breaks to corporations than vital services (i.e. quality healthcare) to the poor.

So I'm a bit of an atypical Republican, but I joined because I want to vote in the primaries and be a voice against insanity.

You biased your question by putting (yea!) and (nooooo) in it. That is not a good place to start your research. You should re-post the question without the bias.

Republican all the way. I will not vote for a candidate from a party who will raise my taxes to give it to someone who won't work. Remember Plato said, " A society that realizes that it can vote itself a better life will."

I'm a Democrat because I believe in a utilitarian (or one that benefits the most rather than a few) approach to government decision making.

I'm an ORPHAN from the republocratic party. I am now a card carrying member of our Libertarian party. I support constitutional representation such as representative Ron Paul offers the American public. I specifically left the repubie/demo party as it had become one entity regarding representation & offered little to no constitutional representation for us Americans. If your doing a research paper, check out "Ron Paul" on Wikipedia(best source!) & our Libertarian party at...LP.org...to find why I and & millions of others have become ORPHANS from the republocratic party.

noooooo.... you're so off in this one. we at the instant are not right here choosing components because of the fact of a few clique. We (as republicans) comprehend what's going to ensue if the Dems get the capability they're searching for. they are going to make a multitude in a foreign places united states of america that we adore. We (US combating adult adult males and girls folk) have laid our lives on the line to guard the way of existence that we adore. we at the instant are not approximately to take a seat and enable them to take it far off from us.
