Why has "The Day of Judgement" changed into a really bad SPIELBERG MOVIE?

What about a World To Come that is just about enlightenment and keeping G-d's law.???

Because that's not dramatic enough for the masses, by whom I mean this largely christian society. The World to Come and keeping the Torah just don't let you knock on strangers doors and preach, nor does it require any warm fuzzy feelings- it's all practical application. Works for me, anyway. But not for most, it seems...

The Apocalypse is on its way. Has been on its way for some 2000 years or so. I personally do not expect to be in corporeal form when it gets here but I am not particularly concerned even if I thought I might be. Frankly considering the condition of my corporeal form I would be glad for it to come immediately and save me from this miserable existence. A simple understanding of cosmology suggests that the supernova that is going to get us has already happened some time ago and we just don't know it and will not know it until it happens so fast that our corporeal self could not experience it anyway. Sort of like stand at ground zero in an atomic blast.
But for the born of the Spirit christian it brings no concern.

Shalom Emet (truth?)

This is a belief that Jesus is coming back to his people to pick them up in a cloud right before he punishes those that do not believe that he is the Son of God. Get a Bible and read Apocalypse.

As for observing the law that God has set I don't think that it was abolished under any circumstance even if Jesus did come to save man. I think that all people that believe in God should observe the laws because they are sacred and what God has set no one man could replace. I'm not saying that Jesus is a mere man I'm saying that God would be contradicting himself if the laws are not to be kept to this day.

Agreed that this subject can be an unhappy one.

Rather than feed on the negatives why not just figure out what the options are and enjoy the one who made them?
