Why not send illegals to 6 weeks of basic training and then on to Iraq or Afghanistan for 18 months? After all, if they want to be American citizens, shouldn't they be expected to support the USA? When they return after performing meritorious service, then consider giving them amnesty and citizenship. Why wouldn't this work?

Hmmm... this is a toughie. First, i could ask your self how he have been given into the protection tension in the 1st place. the protection tension does not take unlawful immigrants. he's combating with different human beings, serving below the yank Flag, and that honestly merits something. on the different hand, he has broken the regulation being in the U.S. illegally; the regulation is a ingredient of usa, that's what he's combating for, so this is style of an oxymoron. my inclination could to be to assert now; fortuitously this is the government's job to come back to a call.

Don't just draft and send them there, BUT what you could do is offer any non-US citizen free citizenship for serving in our armed forces. This would not be the first time it was done, Korea and Vietnam saw programs like this and the soon-to-be citizen fighters were quite capable.

They have the right as non-citizens to join the US military, to gain citizenship. My sister went through basic with some girls who were brought here illegally as small children. They are now serving in the military to gain thier right to be here. Anyone who is willing to die for this country, and proves it by actively serving, should have the honor of US citizenship.

We shouldn't conscript illegals, but a fast-track to citizenship for foreigners willing to serve up front wouldn't be unreasonable.

Sorry but I wouldn't trust them. I have seen too many shots of them burning an up-side down flag and stepping on the flag. Many illegals are just here for the freebies.

There was a movie I saw once. They sent convicted criminals to a foreign country to fight some terrorist group. In reality you can't trust criminals with weapons around American soldiers.

No, we have a volunteer army. You are speaking of conscription, and anyway its been done before in the US Civil War.

Although I dont think they should be here I think they should go home... We already are poor enough without paying for their family to be on our welfare systems...
