Life coaching is not covered by insurance. Insurance will only cover counseling unless you are diagnosed with a mental disorder listed in the DSM IV from a licensed therapist. Adjustment disorder is most commonly used to cover problems in living. If you pursue counseling you are free to ask you therapist what you are being diagnosed with.
I am a therapist that has chosen to do life coaching rather than traditional therapy. Life coaching is action oriented, future focused counseling.
If you find a therapist who specialized in Brief Therapy or Solution Focused Therapy you could get it covered by insurance and it would feel a lot like coaching.
Hope that helps.

nope, life coaches are not required to have licensure, therapists are. The insurance will pay for you to see a licensed professional, not someone who just decided to be a life coach.

no, they won't cover a life coach. your best bet is with a therapist, which most companies and policies will cover.
