I usually fry it in butter with garlic and salt, but I'm trying to trim down my waistline. Any ideas?

Steam them or grill them using a lemon based marinade - ignore the olive oil comment - olive oil is packed with calories.

slightly grease skillet with olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon will grease a skillet.
Add fresh shrimp, cover with a lid that hold in steam, Add, sprinkle of salt or garlic which ever you like, a little lemon juice, gives it a good flavor. don't cook long it will be tasty.
If you have a steamer you can steam it in a steamer. Just add what ever you like. Or cook on the grill. If you are trying to slim down forget about butter ,pretend there is no butter. Only use olive oil . Three spoons a day and you will be more healthy when you get slim. Eat a lot of salads. fruits vegetables, bright pretty color fruit and vegetables.

Drop into boiling water just quickly enough to heat. Shrimp cooks very quickly and this is already cooked. Just drop in and pull it out in a minute. Over cooking is so easy. If you would rather saute, have your butter/fat hot in the pan and just toss the cooked shrimp in it till just warmed thru.

Well, if you get a spray, like olive oil spray it has so little actual oil in it that it is zero calories. You can add a little lemon as they cook if you like, to keep it moist. Or they can be broiled with their shells on. The inside should not get black, but the shell will. Use herbs and lemon to flavor.

I would substitute the butter with a light oil. Olive oil is good but adds a distinctive flavor (even extra virgin)
If you brush them then sprinkle with seasoning and broil it should drop the calorie count.

boil them and drizzle them with olive oil mixed with garlic and salt. a little basil could work in there, too. the possibilities are endless lol. you could also drizzle the olive oil on there and bake them at about 350 degrees until done.

Steam them- I use a metal colander in a big pan. Get the water boiling add the colander and put in the shrimp. Cook about 8 minutes and they are tender and yummy!!

Toss them in a little healthy oil and fry.
You could also use low fat butter or margarine

Cook them in water, or grill them. It usually just takes a couple of minutes. Dont overcook them or they become tough and rubbery
Theres no need for grease there.

Boiled or steamed shrimp aren't bad if you have decent quality shrimp that hasn't been frozen.
