a lump on the neck doesn't mean cancer it could just be a growth or a sore that has gotten out of control. My parents yellow lab just had surgery to remove a growth from his thigh and it turned out to not be cancer. Your best bet is to go to the vet they will be able to figure it out either way and at least you will be prepared.

My friend in the dog world, calm down. You are not going to help your dog by freeeeeeking out.
Finding a red ball may just be a tic that has gotten under he skin. Let the doc decide what it is. I tell people all the time, take your dog to the vet. The vet is the best person to make these kinds of decisions. They have the resources and medical experience to know what to do for sure.
As for the environment and not getting any more dogs, look around your home. Is there anything that could cause your dog or you to get sick??? If you can't find anything, then it is not the environment most likely. WE all live in the world filled with chemicals, pesticides and who knows what else. WE all do what we can to protect our pets. You can also go online and research toxins to dogs. There are plenty of free websites on this subject.
Good luck,

Take the dog to the vet - I hope that was the advice given for your previous question too.
A lump on the neck does not necessarily mean cancer. It could just be a cyst, but these need veterinary attention too. Cancer is not catching, if your dog did happen to have it it would not have anything to do with your previous dog having had it. Cancer is a syndrome, not an infectious disease.
Vets!

Stop whining and take your dog to the vet. You know that's the thing to do. It is her RIGHT BY LAW to receive proper medical care and to deny it is abuse. And when you make the appointment, be sure and describe what is wrong. You should not wait 1 week for her to be seen - she needs to get seen as soon as possible. If it is cancerous, they may even want to start treatment the day she goes in. Remember, time is of the essence with cancer. The sooner you get her in, the sooner you address the problem - whatever it is - and the smaller the bill will be.

It could be nothing but a fatty tumor, which is not serious at all or it could be an abcess or it could be cancer or it could be a number of things.
Your best bet is to have it SEEN by a Vet. (we can't see what it looks like so there is no way any of us could tell you what it is). To you your discription is percise but that is not enough information to come to a conclussion. It actually needs to be SEEN.
Take her to the Vet if you are really concerned.

Ok, if you make, like, an appointment with the vet... you can totally talk about all these problems.. and he'll totally know what the answers are. Then you can chill and enjoy your dog without freaking out all the time, mmmkay?

Take your dog to the vet and have him checked out. Your vet will be able to tell you for sure and follow up with proper treatment.
