Why do some women obsess on birthdays, anniversaries and Valentine's day without seeing the big picture?

I've been married for 29 years, and during that time, sometimes my husband remembers "important" dates, and sometimes he doesn't. But he gets me presents and does nice things for me all the time, he treats me with love and respect, and we enjoy each other's company. I love him and there's no one else I'd rather be with.

If the man or men you are referring to are nice to you all the time, why obsess about "special" dates? Which would you rather have: a man who is nice to you all the time and does special things for you all the time, or a man who treats all the days except the "special" ones as ordinary?

Because they have a lot more to deal with than when to send Birthday and Christmas cards...why is it so important to remember such things...does the fact someone sends you a card on a particular day mean more than a man working his life for you, being there when you need support...It all seems to have been blown out of all proportion...so we forget dates, big deal, does not mean we don't care...it means less to a man than a woman...I have lots of male friends and other than my own twin brother I have no idea at all when their birthday is, does that mean I don't like them or they don't like me...no way.

We care, but sadly we care a lot about the unimportant stuff too. Not too many people ask me civil war dates, or about the Napoleonic wars...but hell, I know those before my families birthdays. Its hard to choose what you will remember, often it is just a mish mash of stuff that you hold onto for no good reason at all.

sounds a splash complicated yet hi i think of you should social gathering and communicate precisely what it isthat is needed and for or from whom? sounds like the affection has dwindled? and sounds like some threats in there? and sounds like somebody ought to ought to communicate this by using with out being shy on it cos via the sounds of all of it they the two recognize what the different is approximately? and would have for an prolonged time? speaking is powerful and it canbe cleansing. keep calm and be honest with one yet another - thats what real friends do. and clearly that's what you're.

Kind of using a broad brush to paint all men, aren't you? In addition, what do you consider an important date, the date you painted your toenails? And, yeah, they probably don't give a rat's a** about such things.
