My Puppy keeps biting my Husband!?

Question

I have a 7 month old goldendoodle and he's really good with me but he's always biting my husband! Is there something I can do about this? My husband is to the point where he doesn't want to be around the dog!

My puppy was biting my a lot she would go for my face and everything. I started to tell her no biting in a stern voice then I would ignore her until she stopped biting me. Now when I tell her no biting if she is thinking about biting she changes her mind at the last second and licks instead. Just be consistent with the puppy and she will learn to not bite. Don't try to distract her with treats because this will tell her that if she bites she gets a treat. Just ignore him them when he behaves himself play with him.

The puppy should be told a firm NO and then have your husband give him a toy or chew something that is appropriate for him to chew on. Also look into puppy obedience classes and both of you attend the classes with the puppy

Sounds like your husband is not the master, the dog is. Your husband needs to take the dominate role in the house.

This does not mean he is to be mean to the dog, but show him he is the master. Then the biting should stop.

Whack him with a rolled up newspaper five or six times and then lock him the garage.

Here, first, every time he bites him, tell him to turn around, cross his arms, and dont lookn at him until he stops. Them is he does stop, praise him or give him a treat. Keep doing this, and it'll work. GOOD LUCK!
