I found this on a website and I hope it helps, although it may take a little bit to find the right spot
Step One
First find the space from the bottom center of your nose to where your upper lip meets.
Step Two
Take your thumb and forefinger and pinch this area as you apply constant pressure. Do not pinch so hard as to injure or bruise your skin. A firm steady pressure will do.
Step Three
You can remove your fingers as soon as you feel relief from the leg cramp or spasm. It is usually fairly quick. Some state complete relief in seconds or two minutes.

You are lacking in some minerals if this happens on a regular basis. You need potassium, best source of nutritional potassium is raisins, a half cup a day is all you need. You also need calcium, not fat milk is the best source, 16 oz a day.

It sounds like you need to get some potassium in your system. Bananas are a good source or just take a vitamin. Do some stretches to help loosen up tightened muscles.

I get this too and it is so painful.
Cramps in your calves at night are a sign of calcium deficiency. Drink milk or take a supplement. There are other good sources of calcium. Google for green calcium sources.

It is a potassium and electoral light deficiency. Try bananas or Gatorade or find a vitamin that specifically caters to these types of minerals.

they are commonly called "charlie horses" and it means that you are lacking potassium in your diet. try eating a couple of banana's during the day to increase the levels and see if that helps.
also, if you wake up with one again, try standing barefoot in the bathtub or barefoot on cold concrete. this technique helps "shock" the pain away. good luck

Could be a lack of potassium. Eat a banana everyday. If that doesn't help ask your doctor.

eat a banana every day -- I used to get those when I was pregnant - it was terrible to wake up in the middle of the night screaming.
