How do you correctly blouse your ACU pants?
Any body got a picture? I'm not the type of guy that can visualize things myself so I don't know what the hell they're talkin about when they say "or bloused using the draw strings at the bottom of the trousers or commercial blousing devices."

Huh?!

Maybe you should go to AAFES Clothing sales and get some sales clerk to show you what is available.

Your probably thinking of something a woman would wear when you hear the word blouse.
All they are refering to is the way in which you prepare the bottom portion of your trousers in an effort to prevent them from draping past the third eyelet on the boots and simultaneously presenting a neat, professional appearance.
the three ways to "Blouse" your Boots or trousers is:
(1) Tuck the trouser legs into the boot prior to tieing them, but not too tight or you'll end up with a "pegleg" which (besides looking rediculous) is unauthorized.
(2) use the drawstrings that are built into the trouser legs. just simply tie the strings together somewhere above the top of the boot making sure not to cut off the circulation to your feet, then simply invert the knot underneeth the leg to hide it from view and let the rest drape over the boot (note: if the trouser drapes past the third eyelet at this point then place the knot higher up on your leg).
(3) use the many different blousing straps or rubbers. these come in various forms, the most common being the green blousing rubbers with the little hooks on the ends. to use these you pull up your trouser legs to expose your legs just above your boots (your boots should be laced up, tied and laces tucked in at this point) the wrap the blousing rubber around your leg and attach the hook ends together, the next step is to let the trouser legs fall over the boots, then grab the blousing rubbers "through your trouser legs" and tuck the excess trouser material underneeth the blousing rubber. then you can adjust the trouser leg to the authorized position (no lower than the third eyelet of the boot) NOTE: this entire process should be done sitting down.
I am partial to the first method because it doesn't turn into a turniquet on your leg, it provides additional cushion between your tucked in boot laces and your skin, and it always covers up your socks. (thats the best part). P.S. don't get caught wearing white socks with your uniform. green and black are the only authorized colors of socks.

You can do it numerous ways....

Drape your pant over the second eyelet of you boots and tie a knot with the strings at the bottom of your pants. Tuck the excess string under your pant leg. This way never seems to come out and is the best method in my opinion.

Go to any military clothing and sales and you will find at the front counter blousing rubbers (usually in a fish bowl or something). They are usually braided elastic . Attach one around each of your legs. Tuck your boots into these. (the blousing rubber will be on the outside of your pants)

The easiest but not the best looking way is to simply stuff your pants into your boots before they are tied.....

Other other methods and ones that use other devices to wrap around your pants and put in your trousers will 99% of the time give you an unauthorized appearance.

OK...as the reg reads

SOLDIERS WILL WEAR THE TROUSERS TUCKED INTO THE TOP OF THE BOOTS OR BLOUSED USING THE DRAW STRINGS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE TROUSERS OR COMMERCIAL BLOUSING DEVICES.

PERSONNEL WILL NOT WRAP THE TROUSER LEG AROUND THE LEG TIGHTLY ENOUGH TO PRESENT A PEGGED APPEARANCE OR INSERT ANY ITEMS INSIDE THE TROUSER LEG TO CREATE A ROUND APPEARANCE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE TROUSER LEG.

WHEN BLOUSED, THE TROUSERS SHOULD NOT EXTEND BELOW THE THIRD EYELET FROM THE TOP OF THE BOOT.

In other words, the legs should not be wrapped around your leg, and they should just slighty droop over the top of the boot. Tuck them in , tie the boots, stand up, and pull up on the legs just to pull a little more material out of the boot. Gravity should do the res.

Just tuck them into your boots. The blouse straps that are sold are for the old BDUs, which were supposed to be starched. The ACUs are wash and wear. Just tuck them in.

It is basically tucking them into the boots, while making them look decent.

I used to tie the strings as close to the boot as possible and then pull the excess down over the boot to make it look like it was tucked into the boot.

just tuck them into the top of your boots, then let them "roll" down slightly over the very top of the boot.
