It could be bedbugs or you could be allergic to dust mites.
Wash your sheets in the hottest water possible. Below is a picture of a bedbug and a great article on dust mites

Bed bugs as one said are there and it DOESN"T have to be from dirty unwashed bed sheets. Buying new sheets only allows them to get into those too if it was bed bugs. Washing sheets in hot water with a few drops of bleech doesn't hurt or 1/2 cup of bleech if they are white sheets.
Another thing to consider that others have not said: Dust mites and bed bugs aren't the only things that bite us while we sleep. Look around the bedroom first! Inspect the ceilings, moldings and especially the corners of the room. If you find small tiny spiders in the tight corners of the walls, this is probably what is really bitting you at night! These creatures live mostly in sleeping rooms for that reason alone. They are on the move at night to come into an area they know where we will be to bite us. Use a vac to clean the room well, from ceiling to base boards, paying special attention to the tight corners of the room from ceiling to floor.
Then the most important thing you can do is move the furniture around so the bed is not in the same place as it was. Vac the floor where it was and leave the furniture in a different place then when you started out. Moving the furniture often times during the year prevents the spiders and other bugs from being able to find you.
You don't need chemicals to kill them....just a vac and throw out the bag when your done. You also don't need to throw out your mattress! Use a vac and then seal it in a zippered plastic cover so that the entire mattress top, sides, and bottom are encased inside the cover. Then repeat with the box springs! ALL matresses and box springs without a plastic cove allow a home for any type of mite or bed bug to live happy!
The bug could have been ANY type of bug including a small black beetle type that flew onto or into the bed sheets. The bites on your skin if all over do NOT indicate YOU have STD'S!
STD'S do not bite arms, legs, or get into the hair! Or leave a little black bug as a calling card!

Yes. It could be a bed bug. Strip the bed and wash the sheets. Also, put something like Febreeze onto the matress while the sheets are washing. This should take care of the problem if it's bedbugs. If it's some other kind of bug and you've noticed them in other places, you may want to spray the area with Raid or call an exterminator.

Those are fleas my dear. I've had the same problem when I brought a rug in from outside and put it in my room. Those little ******* hurt more than ant bites. Kind of a painful sting that itches forever. The bites look like little pimples without pus, not wide and flat like mosquito bites. You'll have to wash all your clothes in your drawers with hot water and then spray the carpet and upholstery with Zodiac Flea Spray (the best brand out there). Adam's sucks. Good luck. I know what you're going through. I had over 20 flea bites over my whole body after being exposed to them for only five minutes.

These could be bed bugs. If that's the case, you need to get rid of your bed and thoroughly clean and exterminate your room. Bed bugs have become rapidly common now adays so don't feel bad. But do take care of the situation immediately.

definately! it might be a flea. or some other little critter if you are worried take the bug to your doctor he might be able to tell you what it is and if it is causing the bumps
to all you idiots who jumped on the girl for not being clean! bedbugs actually live in on or around your mattress and they are almost impossible to get rid of if you have them. They are very common throughout the world. one way to get rid of them is to vaccuum your mattress a couple times a week. this includes the sides and all around!

Bedbugs, it does not mean you do not wash your sheets, it means they probably went into your mattress, you should inspect the sides and corners of your mattress for small black marks if you see that it needs to be thrown out.
go to www.bedbugs.com see if that is what you saw, you will also need an exterminator.

It absolutely sounds like fleas to me. Bed bugs are microscopic and would not be visible to the naked eye.
