You should ALWAYS, ALWAYS use a condom! Not only to prevent pregnancy, but to prevent STDs. There is not a safe time NOT to use a condom. She can get pregnant at any time.

If you are asking if that will prevent pregnancy, the answer is no. If you don't use condoms and she isn't on birth control, she can get pregnant at any time. It's very difficult to pinpoint exactly when a girl is ovulating or will ovulate, so if you aren't willing to use condoms and don't want a baby you shouldn't be having sex at all. Not to mention all the STD's that only condoms can help prevent. (They don't completely prevent them, but condoms make it less likely you'll catch one.)

if your really asking this question because your serious--then this is my serious answer.
A girl usually has a 28 day cycle. (average girl).
Your trying to use the rhythm method.
You should use a condom always if you are sexual active with more than one partner or she is. (to protect yourself obviously and to prevent pregnancy).
You have a window after her period she cannot get prego a very short window.
Count 12-14 days after her period count back 3 days and 1 of those three days she is ovulating. (assuming 28 day cycle)
Medical books say 10-14 days after the first day of the period.
So for example: July 1st she starts her period.
That means 10-14 days later depending on her cycle she will ovulate.
14 days brings you to July 14th you count the day she started.
you count back three 14th, 13th, 12th one of these days she is likely to ovulate On one of them.... she can get prego. (that is of course if she is on a 28 day cycle).
Hope this helps!

a girl can get pregnant even after her period. in order to prevent pregnancy one must use a condom or birth control. waiting for her period is very unreliable and risky.

Ovulation can occur at any time during the month. It varies from girl to girl, so there is no absolutely safe time to not use a condom.

Ummmmm Moron always use a condom! You know STDS, Aids? Fatherhood when you don't expect it, or want it? Child support until the child turns 18? Never mind the menstruation part.
