(give me your hand,
blood is spilt and man will follow
infernal man, punishment too great to bear)
Conceived and born was one of light
Rain and dark, the other born black night
Raise your head and taste the courage
(the one of light)
Fall from grace, unholy night
I've come here to kill you,
won't leave until you've died
Murder born of vengeance,
I closed my brothers eyes tonight...
Its cold tonight as the clouds turn grey
and from my hands to my brothers grave
You took his side, you took his gift,
feel the power of a fallen man, crestfallen man...
Far away in this land I must go,
out of the site of the One.
A punishment sent from his hand
a hardship no one should know
Now go out of the site of the One,
away in this land you must go.
Where has he gone? What have you done?
A voice commands from high above this earth.
From the soil I hear his blood cry out to me
Murder, liar, vengeance, deceit
wait there is more...

Ah, Cain and Abel.
Edit: I guess not all atheists know the Bible. That was an easy one.
And no, it wasn't pleasing to God. That's why Cain was banished.
Pretty good lyrics. I might have to look into them a bit more. I've never actually listened to them.

It can go hand in hand with the Bible. BUt at the same time, I feel anytime we are talking about what happens when one fails to obey God, we also need to tell of Gods love and forgivness and a chance to turn from sin and let GOd give you a new heart. We must preach the love as well as the God of vengence, to draw ppl in.
But , yes the words of this son do tell of the other side what happens when most wont obey. Jesus is coming soon and He will end all sin and take His ppl home. LEts sing about that too. oh yeah. We cant be part way Gods, we are either fully HIs or we arent His at all. I am a music lover and I love the songs that sing of the passions of God. They are my passions too. I am 61, so many say you are too old for some ot that ... NO, never too old. Even at 101 I will still jump up and sing and shout and dance for Jesus, always.
May you all find that too.

Sidewinder-This music is basically epic, each and every thing approximately that's great; guitar, bass, drums, and lyrics, and how Matt sings it. grab the Day-This music is unquestionably one in all the 1st after M.Shadows had voice classes, it quite makes a difference. The message of this music is so sturdy and the video might harm the main respected guy's coronary heart. Brompton Cocktail-all the device mesh completely(32 gadgets to be appropriate). back vocals=epic, and the guitar is spell binding. Welcome to the relatives- between the 1st because of the fact the Rev gave up the ghost, Portnoy(fill in drummer for album and excursion) did stunning on the drum tracks and the full band placed plenty emotion into it. possibility Line-yet another off the recent album, as quickly as back stunning Syn type guitar, and the solo actually takes you to heaven. Read the lyrics to many early songs by Iron Maiden, Metallica and Megadeth. You will find that alot of their lyrics are actually related to and taken from stories of the Bible, and almost could be looked at as Pro-Christian. Thus, Rock Bands using the Bible as inspiration to write songs is nothing new at all.
So whats your point?

There is some great thoughts in here... in some places it matches the bible... yet we must remember, even Satan knows the bible, so we can not give comment to the valility of the lyrics as it relates to the bible...
I would need to hear the song before giving an thoughts!
