God is our friend. He is not some faraway deity that occasionally helps us out. He is always there. He has always existed, and will always exist. He has no beginning and He has no end. Anything is possible with him. In the eyes of God, saints and sinners are equal, as long as sinners are genuinely sorry for the sins they have committed and are prepared to reconcile with their Lord.
God is so loving that he sacrificed his only son, Jesus Christ, to save humanity from Satan's stifling grasp.
God has a plan. We are all hear for a reason. It's not like we're his "slaves" either. We have free will. It is our duty to do His work...always, regardless of the circumstances. If you love God, He has prepared an eternal, inexhaustible heaven for you when you die. God is THE BEST THING THAT WILL EVER HAPPEN TO YOU.

This is something that you have to find out for yourself. I could tell you who God is to me, but that is only my personal belief, my personal connection with God. I do believe that while my God is the same as, for example, my father's God, my personal idea and relationship with God is very different from that of my father.
So you need to discover your own connection with God and answer this question yourself. You didn't say anything about whether you are searching for a spiritual path, but if you are, there are many different paths to choose from. You will find priests, rabbis, imams, and other nice average people to help you if you have further questions. Good luck!

The one true God is the creator of this universe and all the others. He is not the god of the Christians or Jews and is certainly not the maniac the muslims worship nor any of the other wacko deities currently whooped over by deluded humankind. The one true God, if you want to call him/her/it that is the creator of everything who doesn't give a wet fart whether you live, die, s**t or go blind. Bless you, my child.

God is an all powerful being maker of the universe the world, you can't run from him, and you can't hide from him, every where you look you will see him and his wonderful makings, if you wake up early and see the BEAUTIFUL sunrise thank him, you stay out later and see that AMAZING sunset thank him, go to the beach and moutains and hills around the world thank him.
he gave his one and ONLY begotten son down to die for our sins so that we could have a new life in him and we can go to heaven when we die and live for him and remember in everything you do give him glory for he is the Lord our God

the man who "supposedly" made earth and the man who "supposedly" is all ways thier for and the man who "supposedly" wacthes over us and the man who "supposedly" is the best person known to man....but is he ever there? no, does he ever talk back? no, does he ever help you? no, you do you help your self he doesnt do anything. i could go on for ever but lets make a smaller list of the things that god does do let me think................NOTHING! he isent real or the world wouldent be the way it is
