WE are to go to God when He says it is time. It is a sin to committ suicide. God said do not murder, it wasnt kill, but the old word used was MURDER. So, if someone takes their own life, they ahve murdered their self and that is sin. Only God is to give life and take it.
No after you die the world will still go on, no matter if you go to heaven or hell. The world doesnt revolve around you or me, it revolves around God.
Yes, we will all die, unless Jesus comes before we die, then we are raptured home, if we are fully HIS. If you dont, you stay and go thru the great tribulation . Its in the Bible, read all aobut it. Nor will it be another 150 years. Bible prophecy being fulfilled right now and Jesus is coming soon. We are either His or the devils, He says there is no other option. If we dont choose for Jesus, the devil is who we are following, whether we know it or not.
and you sound like you think all will go to heaven. NO absolutely not.
God tells us what to do to get to Heaven and what to not do to avoid hell. If ppl arent obeying that... they cant assume they will be in heaven, cuz the absolutely will not be. And God has to send them to hell, because if they dont choose for Jesus and continue to live in sin, what woudl they do to Heaven if they were allowd to go with Gods ppl./? Wouldnt stay heven very long, huh? So much murder, rape and al that , just like they have it here and thrive on it all. adultry, homosexuality, fornication, rebellion, all of it. No, HEaven will be a place of no sorrow or pain, no more tears God says.
SO those that wont follow God now will not be in heaven, even if they say they believe. Even the devil believes and he wont be there. Pray and choose Jesus soon.

Because if we could just do that, why did we end up here in the first place?
If you believe in God, and the afterlife in some form, then i'd guess you believe God created us. And why would He do that if there wasn't a point to it? That's why we can't just die now. It's not just a stopgap. There must be a purpose.
What that purpose is, though, is a totally different question....don't even get started on the meaning of life...

Life is a gift from God, although of course some things that happen during life are not gifts from God. If you throw that gift back into God's face by committing suicide, then God may not give you another gift that God has to offer to you: going to Heaven.

God made you for a reason. You may not have completed what you are suppose to do here. Someone else may need you. Well it could be anything, dont ya want to find out? Dont ya want to make a change on earth to make it better? Committing suicide is not the answer to anything, God definitely doesnt want you to do that. He will call you when its your time.

You cannot harm your body hence suicide would be harming your body... the question is why do people not go to heaven right after they get saved? The answer is God wants you to be a witness to others... and be that light unto the world.
Hope that helps
God Bless

In 3 places in the bible I says thou shall not kill. When a person kills there self they don't go to heaven. Not all of us are going to be with God. Its only the ones that have given every thing to God.

First of all, not everyone who dies goes to heaven.
Secondly, ending your own life before your time is wrong. The saints did not end their own lives, even though many of them desired to be with God. They knew that their lives here were not over and they needed to finish this life out, so to speak.
We cannot know what our lives hold for us and to end your life early may short change you and others.

Dear DJ,
You perception of getting to heaven is not correct. You don't get to heaven by simply dying... All of mankind has a serious problem that will not allow them into heaven. It is called sin. Sin is the transgression of God's law. The penalty for breaking God's law is to spend forever (eternity) under the wrath of God in a place referred to in the Bible as the "lake of fire."
In order for you to go to heaven, you must get rid of your sins and you cannot wash them away with soap and water... God's perfect justice reuqires that you pay the sin penalty in full before you can get into heaven. The bad part is that if you attempt to pay your sin penalty, you'll be in the lake of fire forever paying for your sins.
However, God, in His great mercy and kindness has provided a Savior for some of rebellious humanity. The Savior is Jesus Christ. He is the only One that could endure the lake of fire and come out at the other end. Of course Jesus is God. He became a man and edured the equivalent of spending eternity in the lake of fire compressed into the hours between the Garden of Gethsemanae and when He said on the cross, "It is finished." He had paid for the sins of all those He had chosen to save before the world was created (Ephesians 1:3-5).
We do not know who these "chosen ones" or elect are but God does. When God saves a person there is a dramatic change in that individual-God has given them a brand new resurrected soul. God may save a person when he/she is still in their mother's womb, or when he/she is 20, or when he/she is on the deathbed. It is all in the Lord's hands. The Bible tells us the environment in which he does this miracle however. It is the environment of hearing the word of God-the Bible. The Bible says, "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." FAITH is a synonym for Christ....(Revelation 19:11). So then CHRIST cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
So if one desires to go to heaven they should be reading the word of God and praying to the Lord to have mercy on them. The Bible tells us that God is no respector of persons, so everyone stands on level ground. Keep reading the Bible and praying to God for mercy. We have to wait on Him because He is Sovereign.

I think we have a winner. Put your treasures in HEAVEN and yearn to be with your treasures. HEAVEN is to die for. HEAVEN is a pearl of such great worth once you find it you sell all to aquire it. If death is gain, you are on the right path. JESUS didn't thirst until he was upon the cross . .. to all who thirst JESUS will give of the water of LIFE . .. :) . .. i hope you would prefer to go to HEAVEN than to live in this heathen world.
-LOVE your neighbor as yourself.
Amen.
