Imagine there's a guy who is really nice. He's kind and caring, someone who's really funny an knows how to make you laugh. Basically, he's a guy who has the personality of your "perfect man", in fact, the only flaw you can find is that he isn't good looking. Would you consider dating this guy if he asked you out?

LOL!!! I think all those girls that say personality after seeing this guy picture would go blind, jump off a balcony, or turn to the same sex, LOL!!! I'm not trying to me mean, I'm just trying to be honest. How many times do I hear girls say they would date a guy with a great personality, but then I always see them go out with a complete jack-a** in a player that looks good but have no personality. Come on now, they are just saying what we want to hear but they will never comply with it, LOL... I'm not saying that all girls are like this, just most of them are. Personality personali-crap, what's the first thing that attracts you to another person? I'm not trying to be shallow here, what I'm saying is looks attracts first, then personality follows. It has always been that way based on what I've experienced from the world.

Yes I'm a guy and strait. I just thought I'd add something. If you are worried about your looks, then don't. Personality wins in the end, but looks get you in the door. There are always going to be women who aren't attracted to you. That's a given, but there will be women that think you are smoking hot! Then there are the majority that are in the middle. It's tough to find a girl out there who is attracted to me and who I'm attracted to at the same time. I'm not giving up hope, since for me it's personality that wins. Besides, one of these days I'm going to ask out a girl that I'm attracted to who doesn't have a boyfriend.

Personality definately. Most guys that are good looking and know it, spend too much time looking at themselves in the mirror, they really don't care about anyone but themselves. Thus, have no personality at all. Guys with more personality than looks have a better opportunity to land the perfect girl because they're fun to be around. They're the life of the party! They have more going for them, because of their personality.

Well if the guy looked like that, I'm pretty sure we'd just stay close friends, but most of the time, if a guy has a great personality like you described, my mind will find a way to make his chunky waist, big nose, and acne look like the equivalent of Brad Pitt. So ya, I'm a model and I still find personality way better than looks.

Definitely personality rates highest of all. The jocks are just arrogant and disgusting to me.

honestly i dont have to look at any pic to tell you the answer....what is more important to me, its personality. looks are supficial and looks can be changed. personality is always there. So, i looked at that picture, and its really embarassing to look like that. honestly I would not date anyone like that. sorry. isnt that photo from a movie?there
are some limitations to how far i would go with somebody
that weird looking.

personality is definitely more important. looks fade over time, but that personality is there forever. unfortunately, personality is not the first thing we notice. there has to be some initial attraction, especially if you don't know the person who asks you out, how are you to know if they have a great personality or not?

I would love to say that personality matters more, but I want to be honest with you. lol. They are both important. A good personality goes a long way, but being decent on the peepers does too.

if there was a perfect man then looks really wouldnt matter because as we both grow old looks fade but he will treat me the same of course every girl and guy wants a good looking guy/girl
however yeah at first you woulnt want to give teh guy a chance but i would give him a chance and possibly fall for him
with the pic you showed yeah at first i would not date that guy at all but if he was capable of his personality winning me over then who knows maybe i would

They are both important. You have to be attracted to someone to like them in the first place. How would you know their personality if you aren't attracted to them. I couldn't have one without the other.
