I'm a 16 year old girl who doesn't normally drink at all but last night I got convinced to have to alcohol and got drunk (it obviously doesn't take much to get me drunk). How does alcohol affect the long term memory?

I'm not planning on drinking again at all to be honest. I never usually drink and it was only that once time I drank a bit.

Oh and I had one 700ml bottle of WKD and some cider. So nothing really strong.

Don't worry.
If you can't remember last night it must have been good.
Seriously, enjoy but don't abuse,
All the best

I've had my fair share of alcohol, and still do on special occasions (like St. Patrick's Day)
Getting drunk once will only make you hungover and feeling fuzzy for a couple days at the most(depending on how drunk you were). It shouldn't affect your memory.
If you do it all the time, then there are not only memory problems to worry about, but health problems(liver, cancer, depression). So go ahead and have a beer every now and then, but don't make it a major habit.
According to many studies, alcohol in moderate amounts is actually GOOD for you!(key word is moderate)

Think of your memory as a library full of books. Many of which you will never use. Each time you take excess alchohol you go in and tear out a few pages at random.
Drinking a lot on one night will do more damage than spreading it out.
How drunk you feel is irrelevant, its the amount of alcohol that counts.

It supplies one a splash "up" and then proceeds to break each and every thing it may seep into. it quite is: relationships, wellbeing, funds & shallowness. i'm so relieved to take heed to which you little ones springing up at present have plenty greater admire for the wear which could be executed from alcohol & are plenty greater knowledgeable than the persons of my technology have been. It in basic terms took 10 or so years besides the indisputable fact that it have been given executed. shop on with gingerale or weight-alleviation plan coke....you will on no account experience awful the subsequent morning in case you do, or ask your self how that bang have been given on your vehicle. Prolonged abuse of alcohol will affect ALL or your organs including the brain and long term memory.
Drinking once and getting so drunk as to forget the evening is not so severe that you won't recover.

unless you get wasted and fall on your head and get a concusion, your fine. there are tons of people who drink several times a week and are fine. just learn your limits. drink slowly and dont do shots if your a cheap drunk!
