Just a question. I've only dated on woman who didn't have children since my divorce, and that didn't work out. Just wondering if single women are put off by the idea of a man they are dating having kids of his own.

I dated men with children and
I hate to say this but in my opinion the answer is yes.
I'm single with no children and I only date single men with
no children now. I can honestly say I'm selfish BUT I have that choice. I want to be FIRST in my man's life and I don't want to deal with possibly unruly, disrespectful children. Even if the children are well mannered angels I STILL don't want to be bothered. When I'm ready to do something I don't want to hear "Oh my kids this or my kids that and I need to cancel"
I understand stuff happens and I respect men that take care of their children and I'm proud of that but I don't give 2 frog's fat *sses about what happened...I'm ready to go.

I don't know the answer to this question but my take is that single women should shy away from single partners. when searching for a mate you only want the considerations of the two of you. children will add stress and compremise to every situation. this is not good for the growth of the two. Depending on circumstances some single women will enjoy the company of a single man with kids. i think a woman seeing the way he treats his kids have a clear window to how he might treat you. **Good answer Lady, you impress me!"

It just depends on the situation.
I'm a bit put off by the idea of dating a man w/ a child (or children). It's a hard situation to get into...I would be very careful of beginning a relationship w/ his offspring as children are impressionable creatures. I would probably (eventually) have to interface with the BM, which is rarely pleasant.
Like I said. It just depends on the guy and the situation.

As a single mother, this is not a fair question. When I met my ex he had a child by his first wife and at 19 that was not something that upset me. I think that as long as you take care of your children and can give your woman the time and attention that she needs that there is no problems there. If the woman your dating has a problem with it, you really need to re-think your choices.

I am a 32 year old attractive single woman, and I will admit that the idea of dating a single dad turns me off.
