A rich chocolate color, accented by something bright like a blue or pink. Go to your local hardware store, and pick up color swatches...hold them together, determine what colors you like...then work on finding gowns in those colors.

If you want to stay in the season you can use any color as long as they are not lighter than say a jewel tone. It's when you start adding lots of pastels that it looks like summer or spring. Overloads of green would start to look a little summery.
Perhaps choose a hunter green, deep pink, copper, and champagne color?
I reccomend all my brides go to the hardware store and play with the paint chips until they get the look they want. (Benjamin Moore paints also has this tool on line). Save a few samples of the colors for when you need to color match or to give to vendors.

A rich plum purple, gold, rich greens, browns, etc, all look beautiful in fall. You can use whatever colors you want, but fallish colors are rich and saturated. If I was having a fall wedding I would take my cues from a piece of Indian corn and go with a deep purple, orange, gold, brown or rusty red scheme myself.
Good luck and best wishes!

Champange and pink (all shades!) They compliment season without being "traditional." Plus, you can find dresses (bridesmaids and the bridal gown) from the summer that have champange hints of color, they will be on sale because of the start of a new dress "season" and the stores are trying to reduce stock!

Chocolate brown looks good with just about any pastel. I recently saw a wedding with pale mint green dresses with brown sashes, and it was BEAUTIFUL! The flowers were white hydrangeas. I would try mixing the chocolate brown with your favorite pastel.

I personally would go with beautiful complementary, saturated colors such as a deep purple or blue. Although, if those colors are too dark for you, you could always still with creams and black.

Colors of your wedding do not have to go by when you are getting married. Go by your favorite colors.
