Im 28, quite pretty, a nice person etc but I have been single for (dont laugh) 7 years (have had a few flings though) and although Im not desperate I would really like a partner. I dont like pubs so dont go there to meet blokes but I dont know what else to do. I see nice blokes but they are always in a relationship or they arent interested and the ones who are interested in me are only after one thing. What am I doing wrong and what can I do?
I know people say blokes pick up on women looking but I know I dont give off those vibes. Please help. Its getting me down now.

Sounds like a possible future for me (20 and been single for three years). Maybe try some online dating websites... Seems desperate and unsafe, I know.
Just be yourself and someone will come along... That's what they tell me...

I'm in the same boat. My best advice is to do three things. One, go OUT, especially to where men congregate besides pubs; like gyms, sports events, bookstores, dance clubs, grocery stores, cafes, etc. Two, don't be afraid to go and talk to a man or men once your out and about. More than half of my female friends have meet someone by talking first ( men are just as scared as women). And finally ask your friends if they know someone.

Internet dating isn't always desperate & unsafe as another poster has suggested.
You have to learn to sort the wheat from the chaff, but you do that wherever you go to meet men.
I met a lovely guy 4 years ago (admittedly after half a dozen no hopers) but you've just got to stick at it.
Give it a go, what have you got to loose?

spending less time on the internet and more time where you have to interact with people in the flesh not on a computer monitor.
try the people you work with, people at your local shop or if that doesn't take your fancy why not try one of those nice blokes you keep eyeing up with their girls

there are a lot of people out there that have been single for quite some time. just go out with your friends be yourself. be careful of who you meet up with. there are people out there for you

try going on the net on dating sites i did and it lifted me i was on girls date for free and face party
