I'm an engineer... Find someone that is as intelligent as yourself!
But just have patience... No rush. If you're "extremely attractive" it won't be long before something happens for you...

It could be a mix of both. Being very attractive as you mention can be intimidating to a lot of men. Also, being an accomplished scientist can also be intimidating. Men might feel insecure about you being more successful than them or that because you are attractive they don't have a chance with you. Men tend to react emotionally on their initial observation of you and would probably like you if they got over their pride a little. Just so you know, I'm a 25 male (straight) and just have a little insight through self-analysis. I hope this will help a little. I look forward to speaking more with you.

I'm in a similar field (physics major) and I find that it's usually the guys I wouldn't want to date in the first place that are running away. More than a few times I've been at parties or dinners where I've found myself engaged so deeply in a technical conversation with a guy that when I wandered away he left his date to continue the conversation.
I mean what guy doesn't want to talk tech then have scorching hot sex afterward? Then roll over and get his butt beat at god of war...

I am a scientist too and would find you even more attractive as a result. Let me see, you are extremely smart and very attractive, they might be repulsed by your lack of modesty?
