I am not physically addicted to alcohol but used to binge drink at weekends. I have stopped rinking for 3 months now do you think it would be safe to drink alcohol free wine at functions as i feel like a bit of a lemon..?

If you stopped & haven't gone back by now...I would stay away, even from the alcohol free stuff...it is the behavior that you want to change, as well as the drinking.
My BF is a chemical abuse counselor & I think he would tell you to change the behavior alltogether. Just get a club soda wth a twist..less chemistry & still be cool.
I don't know how hard it was a stop the first time, if you weren't addicted, it may have been easy, but they say the learned patterns help feed the addiction too.
Good luck...

As a recovering alcoholic (8+ years sober) I'd suggest that you not do this . . . not because it's what we alkies would call a relapse but because it's just too close to the real thing, too much of a temptation.

I've been at this a long time now. I go to parties all the time where there is alcohol and I simply get myself a glass of some sort of soda with lime. It looks just like a mixed drink and no one is the wiser!

Drinking non-alcoholic beverages might make you crave the real thing. If you drink Coke or Pepsi, no one will know there's no alcohol in it.

Avoid it, it doesn't taste that good anyway. Have a cranberry and gingeral ale or something else that looks like it. You shouldn't feel bad for not drinking anyway. You're doing the right thing, don't let anyone take that away from you.

Sure - but it doesn't taste very good. You may want to try sparkling juices like sparkling cider and sparkling pear - if I don't want to drink at a party where it is obviously expected i just drink Tonic and lime - looks like a cocktail and no side effects.

Sure it does not have alcohol in it.
