How do i save pics i have downloaded on my pc to a cd-r?i keep getting this response-the cd may not be usable?

i'm not sure if i'm trying to save too many pics or what. i would say there are about 200 pics in the file i'm trying to save. then i put them in a zipped folder thinkin this would make it smaller, but i still keep getting from the cd wizard that there was an error in writing the file to the cd and the cd may not be usable. please help this is driving me bats and i know it is so simple to do!

don't put them in a zipped file
I just put 305 on a cd this morning
try a different disk

Try another CD.

you have to put the cd in the cd drive.
