During the week she has to get up and go to the YMCA for day care, so she goes to bed about 9 PM. Is this too late to get up at 7 AM?

I have heard that you add two hours on friday and saturday nights. So maybe 10 at the latest. It gives them a sense of being free. If you find that they are sleeping til noon, definitly wake him/her up. Kids need fresh air and sunshine. It really all depends on the child. Hope I helped. Good luck!

This age needs 10 hours a sleep per night. So 9:00 - 7:00 is 10 hours. It should stay the same on weekends, unless she goes to bed at 10:00 but then sleeps until 8:00.

My kids have the same bedtime 7 days. It's just easier to keep them on a routine then to break it every week. They still get up, dressed, and eat on the weekend just like the week. We have snacks, and lunches at the same times too. I'm a student so I think it works best that I have my 2.5 hours (7:30-10:00) every single night to study. Mondays are a piece of cake for us too, because we've had plenty of sleep during the weekend. (As I'm answering this at 11:45 pm! I just finished an exam). I also have them pack their lunch boxes just like the week. This way if we decide to go out, we're ready to go.

I think kids need that kind of consistancy. (Mine have autism and SPD, but it goes for all children, not just special needs). It's also good for me knowing what to expect, and being able to have my time 7 nights, whether I study for 2 hours or 20 minutes, and watch a movie, I need it.

In my opinion, 9 is a little late. Even though it's still 10 hours in her bed, she should have a little time to fall asleep. Ex. In bed by 8:30 so you know she's sleeping by 9.

My son goes to bed at 6:45, and is usually out by 7-7:15. My daughter takes meletonin at 6:40 and gets in bed at 7:30, out by 7:35-7:40. My son gets up around 5-5:30, and I wake my daughter at 7:15. Yes I'm horrible, but we go out to parks when it's still cool, and empty. They're happy so it's working for us. And I'm a morning person.

No not at all. As long as she can get up without any complaints. If she does in the morning then she has to go to bed earlier. Haha man i shouldnt be the one to talk i go to bed at 3:30-4:00 AM and wake up at 11:00 AM. But, yeah, no latter than 10:00 pm though for her.

No she's definitely not the minority! My kids (well the two oldest-7 & 10) constantly need to busy with friends or any sort of activity. But I would advise against sleepovers every weekend or two days in a row. I know that my son & daughter are excited to have sleepovers/go to sleepovers and act energetic after, but it's obvious they are really tired. My point is that sleepovers disrupt sleep patterns, so it's not healthy to have one so often or in a row. This may be just me, but I usually let my children either have a sleepover or go to one once a month at the most. It's usually more like once every two or three months. Whenever you can play with your daughter, rent a movie to watch, etc. so maybe you can curb a little bit of her constant need for activity :)

That is fine. Weekends, 9:30-10:00 latest.

Bedtime should remain constant whether it is the weekend or a weekday. When a child is used to going to bed at 9pm and is allowed to stay up later a couple of days a week, they will end up overly tired and cranky.

I think 10 pm is fine for weekends as long as your daughter does not sleep in too late.

I would let her go to 9:30-10:00. I would think not. My kids go at 9:30 and they wake up by themselves at 6:30!
