Uh...nothing, really.

Remember what happened when you were in the womb? No? Well, think of that blank nothingness. It just...stops. You won't be aware of it; you'll just stop.

But I can't really assume too much; I've never died before, haha. I'm not egotistical or arrogant enough to assume anything about something I know nothing about.

The heart stops pumping, blood congeals, body temperature cools off and the body starts the decaying process. The body is then buried or burned, according the culture of the people who are still alive. Or parts of it can be salvaged and given to people who desperately need them. Or the body can be given to med students to dissect and learn more about the human body.

I think what happens when you die is what you think happens when you die.

Excellent book: "Johnny and the Dead" by the hilarious Terry Pratchett.

decay in a box, though i think i'd prefer the whole burning thing.

oh, if you caught up on this whole "soul" thing, then all that energy will be converted into other forms of energy.

pretty spectacular, eh?

Nothing. My body goes into the ground and eventually turns into dust. My heat and energy dissipate into the atmosphere.
