The best we can do as individuals is be more responsible ,in our own neck of the woods
Organise well publicized clean up parties ,talk on the radio
Have citizan meetings
Get the shools involved to plant trees and listen to environmental awareness talks,
If you do any cleaning up leave signs behind saying who cleaned, why and ask people not to start dumping rubbish again ,leave a hole or bins ,in case people come with trash ,
POSITIVE ACTIONS)
Classify trash take out all the organic waste and make compost with it ,the worst you can do is throw it with the trash
70% of contamination is due to organic waste that is mixed in with the garbage .
And it is just as bad in the sewer where it helps to breed rats and in the landfill it poisons the ground
And it is the easiest to take care of
o first of all we have to clasify trash at least keep the organic to one side ,like in a plasic bin with a lid
If you got a few meters of ground ,you only need 1 or 2 square meters in a shallow hole ,in the shade ,that you can wet now and again ,where you dump everything that is organic ,from toilet paper, bones vegetable cuttings ,eggshells,, ,excrement ,and cover regularly with leaves to keep humid and to hide any smell
the worms will come and decompose the wastes truning it into beautifull black soil for the garden of flower pots .
If you are in a apartment ,if you have a balcony get a big plastic bin drill some holes in the side and lid ,
Add a few buckets of sand now and again to put over the trash ,you should realt stir or move the stuff at times to airate it and ensure that the decomposition is overall ,keep moist
This rubbish does not get big very fast and the thing works for a long time with out getting full

If you want to help the planet ,plant a tree every week ,if everyone on the planet did we we would be able to slowdown the destructive processes
Reduce carbon emisions, and they are already working on that by alternative forms of energy and regulations on carbon producing materials, aerosol cans, burning rubbish, industrial chimneys, powerplants etc.
Waterharvesting projects ,such as millions of small dams.to redirect over ground waterflows from the rains into the ground to supply subteranian water supplies.
The protection of existing forrests.
Stop building more highways, urban planning to include vegetation stop building cities encourage people to return to the land to conduct their business from there which now has become possible thanks to the internet.
Education to motivate people to auto sufficiency by building more home food gardens.
Education on environmental awareness
education on family planning to curb over´population
Agricultural education and improvements to follow the principals or sustainability and soil management.
More environmental or land ,design to prevent bush fires, such as--fire breaks
More dams.regulations and control for public behaviour
Alternative effeciant public transport to discourage the use of the internal conbustion engine

1. Science is not a consensus activity
2. _All_ scientists do NOT agree
3. Even the socialistic EU "scientists" are
backpedalling on their GW stance
4. Global warming, like global cooling is part of the
natural climatic cycle.
5. There have been many such cycles in Earth's
history.
6. Earth is presently in the last stages of an ice
age and was considerably warmer for most of its
history.
7. Floating ice occupies the same volume as would the
liquid water that comprises it.
8. Even if the ocean levels rise the alarmist 28
feet, just move away from the beach.
9. Warmer climate means more crop growing area.
10. Water is not going anywhere. Except for what we
have shot into space with rockets, there is the same
amount as there always was.
Global warming is one-half of the climatic cycle of warming and cooling.
The earth's mean temperature cycles around the freezing point of water.
This is a completely natural phenomenon which has been going on since there has been water on this planet. It is driven by the sun.
Our planet is currently emerging from a 'mini ice age', so is becoming warmer and may return to the point at which Greenland is again usable as farmland (as it has been in recorded history).
As the polar ice caps decrease, the amount of fresh water mixing with oceanic water will slow and perhaps stop the thermohaline cycle (the oceanic heat 'conveyor' which, among other things, keeps the U.S. east coast warm).
When this cycle slows/stops, the planet will cool again and begin to enter another ice age.
It's been happening for millions of years.
Humans did not cause it.
Humans cannot stop it.

Hi Doctor Michael,
Good for you! ..The more we all can do, the more impact we will all have....
>>>>
When you want to go somewhere, use the bus, ride a bike or walk... don't ask your parents/anyone to drive you, unless safety is an issue....
>>>>>
Encourage your family, to replace as many light bulbs in the house as possible.. with compact fluorescents.. If they won't go for that, at least replace the ones on your own home... And don't leave anything electrical on in your room ..if you aren't using it right now.....
>>>>>>
Take shorter and cooler showers, a lot of energy goes into "heating water".... and most ways to heat that water, cause emissions linked to climate change.....
>>>>>>
Wash your clothes in cold.. or at least cool water you do wash your own clothes, don't you? :))
>>>>>
Don't use any disposable dishes/cups/cutlery, if you can help it ... at the school caf, at home, at church, anywhere.... Not only is it not good to fill up the landfills with this stuff, the constant manufacturing causes emissions.....
>>>>>>
Before you buy any new clothes, have a look at your local thrift store.... Buying there means, that another new one doesn't get made at the factory, reducing those emission by one item..... There are many brand name items at these stores... I've seen them and bought them......
>>>>>>>>>
I hope these have helped you and inspired you, to look for other ways to be kinder to the planet.... :)
>>>>>
Thanks, for the question! :)
Have a nice weekend! :)
Take care!

GOOD FOR YOU FOR ASKING AND WANTING TO HELP!
Use longer lasting bulbs, recycle trash, stop using plastics, and pampers..don't throw things in water, lakes and rivers, lower the use of fuels like gasoline and oils,( carpool) save water, (use rain water over).Wash clothes and dry at night to use less elect. (you'll save $$ too). Turn down the heat, turn up the A/C, there are a million good ways to safe the planet. Some don't believe we're in trouble. The world is full of mentally challenged people who don't care that their children can't swim in a lake anymore, or breath well w/out getting sick,. Good for you for asking, more should do this.

Why do you want to stop it? How do you know the earth is not just trying to back to its normal temperature? Do you think the sun being 1.5 million times bigger then the earth might have something to do with Global Warming? Since CO2 in the primary global warming gas, can you name me one thing on earth that does not emit CO2? Or you can forget about being logical and jump on the global warming hoax band wagon and ride the short bus into a socialist utopia.

I am so glad my boy friend (Bill) is very interested in this topic - This problem, which I think this is used to be a big discussion in the Carter year (in the 70's) during "energy crisis" in addition to the global warming reports on oozone (spelling?) layer depleating. Then we find out we can reduce the aerosal from hairspray, fossil fuel burning (which many families in China still do as necessity), Jet flight (look at the trail of vapor); recently, we've been discussing the possibility of reducing Urban Sprawl (sorry if I spell incorrectly, dear) - if we have free bus and train system, we would not need to own cars, eliminate the headache of not able to find parking spaces, saving tons of money on auto insurance and injury related expenses... on and on.
Man, he is smart. This might work even if we just skip the cars entirely (you, too...including China) Chinese used to be very comfortable with riding the bikes to eveywhere, less pollution, less congestion, less "anxiety" and stress related to automobiles... what happend?

The earth is simply warming itself up. You dont need to worry about it. CO2 is an natural element and it is not a threat. The earth has a way of regulating itself. If it gets too cold it will go into a warm period that could last many years. If it gets too hot it will go through a cold period that could also last many years.

Try turning down the sun. That will work as well as anything else and not whizz away anyone's money. By the way the clouds are the largest "global warming" gas but even Gore and his followers won't suggest we stop emitting water.
