My fiancee' and I have been engaged 2 years and she wants to get married at Disneyworld, but I looked on the internet and saw that it costs like $10,000, which I don't have. Any answers?

Hopefully after seeing the cost, she'll get over the idea of wanting to get married at Disneyworld. If she still makes an issue out of it, I would think long and hard about her maturity.

In your toast to the bride, you can give her mouse ears as a joke. Maybe you can have the wedding someone where there are fireworks. Maybe you can make a 2-day stop in Disneyworld on your honeymoon, finances permitting.

$10k isn't actually that much to spend on a wedding. Disney takes care of the setting, the food, the officiant, etc. Look into what the package includes and you'll probably find that going to DisneyWorld will just about equate a normal wedding expense-wise!

But, you could always go there for your honeymoon instead ( =

I'm a Disney freak so I understand why she would want to get married there. But it is expensive, and if you're not by Florida, as well as friends or family, that is an additional cost for them to fly down and get hotels. Maybe you can bring that up with her too..

However, as someone mentioned before, why not have a Disney theme? I know you shouldn't see her wedding dress, but maybe even forward this link to her. Disney even makes the Disney Princesses themed wedding gowns, and some of them are actually gorgeous.. http://disneybridal.com/

good luck!!

Actually, it's not only 10,000. That's just the minimum. They add on all kinds of things like, you must book so many rooms at one of their hotels, and all kinds of other stuff. Plus, the reception! That's another 10,000 at least.

When I first got engaged my dad told me to look into getting Married at Disney, we met with a consultant and after finding out everything, the minimim cost would be 27,000 including reception and ceremony, NOT including tax which would be another 3,000 at least.

I got engaged at Disney and would've loved to have gotten married there but it's just too darn expensive!

Call Disney and talk to their people. They have special wedding planners that work there to help you plan a wedding. They can work with your budget and have very very low-cost options available if you want to have a very small wedding. If you're looking for something bigger, yes, Disney is expensive. Consider having the wedding someplace else in the Orlando area and have a Disney honeymoon. Or a Disney rehearsal dinner. Or a "Day-at-Disney" for all your friends and family a couple of days before the big event.

$10,000 what a waste of money in my mind. Why don't you get married somewhere else and then take the wedding party of Disney world. Wouldn't that be better, a wedding is suppose to be a vow, a ceremony not a amusement park. I wouldn't spend that kind of money for that.

It's expensive but alot of people do it. I'd love to, but there is no way our 250+ guests would all be able to come, so we are having it at home and are going to have a Disneymoon.
