I use a lawn service that employs high school kids and college students. When I went to high school I used to make extra money by picking fruit in season, cant get those jobs anymore because they can pay an illegal to do it for next to nothing. If the illegals go home there will be persons who are willing to do the same work available. If not we can always increase the number of seasonal laborer visas to take up the slack. But there is no need or benifit to the american people to allow our country to taken over by an invasion of illegal immigrants from ANY COUNTRY.

It is one thing to reply with an educated point, but sad when people speak with hatred in their hearts. All I hear is people bothered with undocumented "breaking the law to enter" Human nature will break laws sometimes if it is to their benefit. So no one ever drives above 65mph or ever will? Human nature will break some laws to accommodate themselves. Undocumented are just reacting on human survival and EVERYONE's situation is different. Another one is "they come here and get on welfare or assistance". Well, Maybe they were eligible for it and it is a system put out by our government. There is the problem also, protest to change that system. Americans are on welfare too America, WAKE UP. If anyone lived in any country where there was little food, shelter, water, medicine, war, communist govt. , if you were educated, I am sure you would "jump a fence" too. It is called survival. Undocumented people are NOT just from Mexico either. They come from all over the world were you or your ancestors came from.
This country was founded on greed and exploitation and if this country keeps undocumented people employed under the table, the influx will continue. There is the problem
People do not want them here, but watch pricing in many aspects of business go up if cheap labor is not around.
If Americans did their own work all along, then why were Afro American slaves imported to work, why did they need the Chinese to build the railroads, why were Mexicans allowed to come here in the 30's 40's to work. Shall I go on? For the record, I am a US born US citizen, but telling it like it is. Wake up and find compassion in a lot of your hearts instead of hatred.

The teenager across the street will mow your grass for $20
How moronic! Before we were invaded by illegal aliens, our crops got picked, our lawns got mowed, our buildings got clean. It all happened.
They provide such cheap labor that we are subsidizing their lives to the tune of $40 billion annually in taxpayer support.
DOnt be a clueless shmuck. You are still paying out the wazoo.

“Who will mow our grass….”
Maybe you can hire the kid down the street to mow your grass. I made a lot of money that way when I was growing up, by hiring illegal aliens to mow your grass you are keeping people in your neighborhood from working.
“…. pick our fruits and vegetables, work at Wal-mart, etc….”
Something like 75% of the jobs Americans are too lazy to do are done by AMERICANS or legal aliens. What you probably meant to say was “Who will do the work at wages most American won’t accept.” In that case they will have to pay more so they can attract more people. I am more the will to pay more for fruits and vegetable, or for goods at Wal-mart, etc. We already pay a huge social price for the illegal aliens as well as a real cost for the same illegal aleans.
Here:
"In Los Angeles, 95 percent of all outstanding warrants for homicide (which total 1,200 to 1,500) target illegal aliens. Up to two-thirds of all fugitive felony warrants (17,000) are for illegal aliens." - City Journal's Heather Mac Donald
http://www.city-journal.org/html/14_1_the_illegal_alien.html
"California's addiction to 'cheap' illegal-alien labor is bankrupting the state and posing enormous burdens on the state's shrinking middle-class tax base," -FAIR President Dan Stein
They are all lawbreakers by virtue of entering America illegally, and when they arrive, a significant number continue to break laws; they steal, rape, murder, form and join gangs, sell drugs, and engage in illegal weapons trade. In 2002, illegals cost the federal prison and court systems $1.6 billion. That doesn't include costs incurred by individual states. The state of Arizona spends $80 million each year incarcerating illegals.
Illegals are not American citizens, and yet they sap social services and cost hospitals billions of dollars in unpaid-for health care. In 2002 illegals cost the federal government $2.5 billion in Medicaid, $1.9 billion in food assistance programs, and $2.2 billion in treatment for the uninsured. States near the border suffer the biggest burden. For instance, illegal immigrants' health care costs Arizona alone about $400 million each year. California takes an even bigger hit.
That mean you are already paying much more then the price of fruits and vegetables, only you don’t pay it at the cash register, you pay it to the government in the form of higher taxes, higher insurance, higher crime rate, etc.

I mow in concentric circles, with the clippings expelled faraway from the uncut areas. in case you expel clippings in uncut areas you clog up the undercarraige/blade plenty speedier and cut back performance. (Assuming you're actually not utilising a mulching mower or a rear sequence bag.) My mower can do the two, yet there are nevertheless some area ejected clippings no count number what. a minimum of I not might desire to rake. The bring about the grass is a squared spiral of traces.

You could do it yourself or else get some drug addicted unemployed person to mow your lawn.
There are no jobs Americans are too lazy to do, only jobs that pay so poorly Americans won't do them. And those jobs pay even less than Wal-Mart. The only reason these jobs pay so poorly in the first place is because of immigrant labor. Farmers will just have to pay fair wages to people to pick once we get rid of the illegals!

Either immigrants who are 'not' illegal or citizens obviously.
You might be too lazy to mow your own lawn but im not.
And I buy fruits and vegetables from local growers who do their own work for the most part.
I am willing to pay more if needed.

You could do it yourself. Most American home-owners could do with the little bit of exercise it takes to more-or-less keep your lawns and gardens up.
Economies benefit from efficiency. Cheap labor does help the bottom line of whoever is exploiting it in the short term, but investement in labor-saving technology actually increases efficiency (productivity) and is a genuine benefit to the economy.
If Cheap Labor were the be-all and end-all of economic development, we'd still be in the middle ages.
