.....our consciousness is the consciousness of being that is beyond the subject-object split. There is no other source of consciousness in the Universe. The self of self-reference and the consciousness of the original consciousness, together, make what we call self-consciousness.
An omnipresent God collapsing the wave function does not resolve the measurement paradox.....At what point is the measurement if God is always looking? The answer is crucial: The measurement is not complete without the inclusion of immanent awareness. The most familiar example of immanent awareness is, of course, that of a human being's brain-mind. When is the measurement complete? When the transcendent consciousness collapses the wave function by means of an immanent brain-mind looking on with awareness. This formulation agrees with our commonsense observation that there is never an experience of a material object without a concomitant mental object, such as 'the thought that I see this object, or without, at least, awareness.

Hi Giggles ( great name btw ) :-))

I am scribbling from the 'old' category here, so don't throw rocks too big !

OK, you threatened to ask this on my energy>matter, energy question, and you did, so that's a good example of 'Intent'.

My answer would be that awareness arises before matter, and that it is that very awareness, for which you can also read consciousness, that causes matter to coalesce from the energetic 'Lattice'.

Of course I also believe very firmly that matter, all matter, has consciousness at a certain level, but this is, in my view, an extension of that 'First Thought' seed awareness that engendered the birth of this Physical Realm.

So the real question is not so much the how, but rather when does matter become aware of itself creating itself out of it's energetic origins ?

I think that we are the 'Seed Carriers' who are about answer that latter question imminently, in a blast of the first true 'evolution' of our physical realm experience.

What do you all think ? :-)))

I would submit that there are different levels of awareness. Even very primitive creatures respond to pain or are at least aware that something is wrong. Is that not self awareness? Humans believe that we are totally self aware because we ponder the reason for our existence, but are you aware of every chemical reaction in your body? Every heartbeat? Even every emotion?

In answer to your question, I would therefor state that matter becomes self aware on a very basic level when it becomes alive.

I think awareness happens somewhere inside of the gestation period before matter. Such as MazDaz has laid out. Otherwise what form does it take?

How does anything take form without awareness? IT doesn't stand to reason that awareness alone has to have a form to exist. I guess I really lean towards awareness shaping things into form.

certainly one of devil's impressive deceptions is to get human beings to be unaware of his paintings and effect. What well-known individual would knowingly do issues that served the point of devil in the event that they have been somewhat cognizant of his existence? Hitler had no conscious theory that he became ending up the paintings of the main evil being in creation, he theory he became doing mankind a provider. you may't deny the reality that the Jewish human beings have been the main persecuted human beings in each and every of the background of the international, pushed from just about each and every united states they ever lived in. Communist Russia, Nazi Germany, Catholic Spain, the checklist is going on and on. Hitler performed suitable into his hand with out even understanding it. maximum atheists and humanists I meet seem to believe interior the goodness of guy. How do you clarify a Hitler or a Idi Amin or an Osama Bin weighted down, are they anomalies? seem at each and every of the suffering in a international populated via "stable human beings". that is not person-friendly to describe. i recognize the argument of the different area is that if God is powerful haw can He enable lots suffering. what's the source of suffering? Evil exists, we can not deny that, yet we don't those that deny the supernatural additionally deny the corruptness of adult males's hearts. So we are left as quickly as back with the question of what's the source of evil? Believers in God deny that God is the source of evil and deniers of God believe that guy is in actuality stable. If God isn't genuine then evil must be an phantasm and if God is genuine then so too must be devil as God informed us that he's.

All matter is composed of Atoms. Atoms are energy. Thought is directed energy. When there is enough extra thought energy in an organism, beyond that which is needed for basic survival, It begins to question. Questioning is a quest. This is the journey that all mindful souls undertake.

I think the glue that holds the world together is that the parts mirror & model each other. Living things are especially concentrated mirrors of their environment for the past 4 billion years. The human mind is the supreme mirror of the universe, with trillions of neurons, each with 10,000 connections, it is capable of more different states than there are particles in the visible universe. There's deep truth in the biblical maxim that God created Man in his Own Image.

I can't by itself.

It has been proven that a computer can not become self aware simply by adding more transistors. Something else is needed.

After several million generations of reproduction and selection, organsims with higher intelligence (ability to analyze/predict) survive. The development of a frontal lobe seems to carry with it self-realization.
