You don't follow karma, karma follows you.
The explanation of karma can differ per tradition. Usually it is believed to be a sum of all that an individual has done, is currently doing and will do. The results or "fruits" of actions are called karma-phala. Karma is not about retribution, vengeance, punishment or reward; karma simply deals with what is. The effects of all deeds actively create past, present and future experiences, thus making one responsible for one's own life, and the pain and joy it brings to others. In religions that incorporate reincarnation, karma extends through one's present life and all past and future lives as well. It is cumulative.

karma is a law not a belief it is the same as Murphy's law only more in the moral sense than physical whatever you send out into the world good or bad will come back to you 10 fold some religions believe very strongly in karma and that it can effect the out come of your future lives by following you into your next life (if you believe in that) but for the most part be nice to others and harm none and you wont have to worry about it.mostly karma is just your actions reacting do something bad and the consequence will be bad do something good and they wont its all about you and the choices you make.

I think that in a way, when Jesus taught the Golden Rule, it was advice based on the principle we call karma-- What goes around comes around, so be nice to others, and good will come back to you...

Do I follow karma?... That's like asking if I "follow" the law of gravity... it's not really something I have a choice about... it's whether I make wise choices based on the fact......

(Sorry that last paragraph sounds kinda rude...)

It is my understanding that Karma is connected to believing in re-incarnation. your karma is what you need to learn in this life so that you can move closer to enlightenment. So, Karma has to do with choosing to learn from your mistakes instead of making the same kinds of mistakes over again. Learning is hard work and everytime we choose to act differently our lives go better. So, in a way karma is about consequences but it is also about being able to look at our lives and deciding to do things differently even when it is tremendously hard. Karma is also about living well with our fellow humans.

Yes, but you don't follow it . . . it follows you. We all bear within us the seeds of our own destruction. How we behave influences our experiences. If we are selfish and insensitive to others, they are probably not going to waste any energy trying to help us with anything. If we treat others decently and with dignity, they will probably respond in kind. That is the source of the phrase "everything that you do will come back to you." Even if you are beloved by everyone for your kindness and generosity, you may still come to a bad end if you run across a sociopath. Although your funeral may be attended by thousands of mourners, someone will be able to truthfully say, "If only this dear person had not been so naive as to trust a dangerous stranger, the murder would not have happened." So you see, we enable our own fate in this life, and perhaps beyond. That part is a little more difficult to test from our limited perspective.

you don't "follow" karma... it just "is".
just like gravity.
it's a law of the universe... cause & effect.
if you want to live your life by the law of karma, you just live a moral life so that your actions don't harm others/ you benefit them & get "good karma" or merit. & then you can "neutralize" or perhaps negate some things you may have done in the past. it does not mean that bad things will not occur because you don't know what you may have done in a past life. you still have to deal with that here & now.
the idea is to live your best life now so that you have a good life next time.

I do know what karma is and I do my best to follow it. I have seen first hand what happens when you mess with karma. It will, with out a doubt, come back to bite you in the butt. Then on the other hand, I have seen great things come back to a person that respected karma.

Karma is the most perfect of laws, because its universal. no one is above it. no one gets the proverbial "Get out of Jail Free" card. in this system.ill rather believe in this than in a "jealous God" I believe in God though!

Its so obvious that even the most stupidest of beings can understand it. simply " you reap what you sow" (in other words "what goes around, comes around)

Hmmm do go a little deeper is a simple question to yourself! If you treat people badly they will usually respond likely the same. If you love, then love is likely returned. Is that Karma? Good Question!
Karma is what you make it to be, it's that simple!

Karma is not any different than any other belief in afterlife.

Most Christians are too holier-than-thou to understand it.
If Jesus died for our sins, why is it we have not yet risen above sinning?

If Jesus alerted us to the fact of eternal life with the Lord, why are we still sinning and expect the next life to be perfect. Perfection takes hard work. Most Christian Churches are turning society into constant sinners. Do they not understand that it's one God for all people. All that pleases God is that we have peace on His earth.

I can see the truth in all beliefs.
My soul has walked this earth before.
