Most times she is OK, but if someone accidently steps on her or she gets around certain people, she acts like a wild animal. She hisses comes at you like shes going to attack and growls constantly. I've had her almost 2 years now, since she was a kitten.

The behavior when she gets stepped on is normal and expected but the other aggression toward certain people is not. Cat aggression is virtually impossible to solve. If she actually starts attacking people and causing harm to them, then you have a tough choice to make. Unlike dogs, training usually does not help unprovoked cat aggression.

get a spray bottle and spray her when she attacks. However, if she is acting like that towards certain people there is a reason. Cats are excelent judges of character and she obviously has a problem with those certain people or could be afraid of them for some reason or another. She is trying to protect herself from what she sees as a threat, so don't go too trigger happy with the water bottle.

It is possible that something happened to the cat before she came to you causing her to be a little aggressive. Maybe she is overly protective of you and sees certain people as a threat. Maybe close her in a bedroom when you have guest over. My mother did that with a Siamese we had. He was a snippy little guy and bite a few people. I remember him staring down my uncle and howling at the top if his lungs. My mother would take him to another room, give him some cat nip and lock him up when we had dinner guests. If he was out and about, people were told to ignore him and not to touch him because he was a little unpredictable. As he got older he lost the pissy attitude and calmed down.

You might ask your vet about prozac for kitties. It isn't a sedative so it won't make her 'dopey'. Some vets think that prozac is toxic to kitties but it's also toxic in large doses for humans so who knows at this point? Perhaps it's just a dosage problem.

At any rate, cats who attack humans have a very low life expectancy.

Definately invest in a strong water bottle....everytime she gets this way MAKE sure you spray her. She will start associating the random squirts of water with her bad behavior

Good luck

Are these the people who have stepped on her? If I were stepped on I would want to beat the daylights out of the person, too.

there are light sedatives your vet can give you if she gets really spastic. Also have a spray bottle filled with water handy so if she comes at you you can spray her

Thump her on the nose while she's doing it. They hate that but will learn from it.
