One trick is to drink a whole glass of water (or two) before you start eating. Usually (at least with Americans) we don't drink enough water, so our body mixes up "thirsty" and "hungry" signals. We'll think we are hungry and eat, but what we really needed was water. Drinking water before eating takes care of that!

i WOULD ADD CALORIE LIGHT THINGS LIKE LETTUCE CABBAGE VEGETABLES TO MAKE A MEAL FILLING SORRY FOR CAPS.. such a chicken grilled salad with carrots onion dressing cherry tomatoes cheese it can be huge and healthy no matter how much you put into it. or use whole wheat bread and add healthy things to it light on calories like a grilled cheese is not filling unless next to fries which they do make sweet potato or tomato soup and or a pickle with it and cole slaw can be used too
or
doing a vegetable chicken noodle soup homemade the healthier u make it the more filling it is eat with bread and ur good

Drink the water as suggested. Use lunch plates instead of dinner plates. Fill them up and it will seem like you have plenty of food to eat.

Something very easy that you can do that people don't do often is to be sure to chew your food completely, and eat slow. It takes about 1/2 hour for you to feel full, and if you eat really fast you're going to feel more hungry until you start to digest.

Look for ways to incorporate fiber. Use whole wheat bread. Add wheat bran to your baked goods, meatloaf, meatballs,, and smoothies. Eat whole fruits rather than drinking the juice of the fruits.

I've heard that if you eat an apple prior to eating a meal you'll feel more full. It has few calories and almost no fat, so you don't have to feel guilty about eating it.

Add more protein to the meal. It fills you up and makes you feel fuller longer.
